The Real Benefit To The Upcoming Twitter Sign Up On Leofinance

Many have talked about onboarding and the importance of reaching outside the Hive ecosystem. This is not a novel topic since it was long discussed even before the split from Steem.

However, throughout the years, very little was done that moved things forward. Before the hard fork, most of it went through Steemit Inc.

Since that time, we had a more efficient sign up process. Instead of weeks of waiting to get an account, people, on Hive get it rather quickly.

That said, looking at the numbers, we see that not too many are itching to get Hive accounts. Why is that?

Before getting to that question, there was a video posted by @khaleelkazi that showed how easy the new Twitter sign up will be.

As we can see in this video, it takes a few seconds and only the clicking of a couple buttons. Do that and, presto, one is logged into Leofinance using their Twitter account.

The real beauty of this system is not that the sign up is so easy, although that is a trendous adavantage.

Instead, the true value of the sign up process is the lack of explanation required.

Anyone who tried to get someone interested in Hive knows how hard it is to phrase things properly. There are so many nuances even for basic interaction that it makes it almost impossible to talk to someone without their eyes glazing over.

With this, it is a very simple selling proposition: would you like to post and comment on this site which lets you get rewarded for doing that? Yes, then sign up using your Twitter account.

Everyone knows how to post, comment, and upvote. This is typical Web 2.0 activity.

Certainly, there will be questions about how to earn, how it is paid, and a lot more. That can be explained as time passes. For the most part, that is secondary. The primary interest will be, hopefully, in getting involved.

This really is exemplified when the "Leo Twitter" feature is added. There we have another simple selling proposition: would you like to ensure that your tweets are not lost if Twitter decides to zap your account? Yes, then sign up using your Twitter account and start posting in the feature.

Many in the crypto world are already aware of this possibility. All the social media sites go through phases where they target Web 3.0 and cryptocurrency discussion. Our very own, @theycallmedan, is a prime example. His account was shut down, not surprisingly.

We are quickly seeing real world (digitally speaking) solutions to legitimate problems that exist. The immutability of what is posted on Leofinance makes it a great counter weight to what the traditional social media outfits.

Twitter is the first one being targeted. It is likely this will not be the last.

The next 6 months are going to be a lot of fun.
