My Thoughts on Splinterlands Renting System

Hi everyone,

I had not spent time to take a deeper look into the new card rental system on Splinterlands, but I have seen lot of success stories, and I want to give it a try.

The amazing success of the new SPS governance token, together with a huge increase in popularity of the game (it brings lot of new people to the blockchain), resulted in a boom for the price of all the Splinterlands cards.

This would be a scary thing for new comers as the entry cost could be very high, but here comes the huge benefit of having a functional renting system.

Many of the old players (including me) accumulated a beautiful collection of cards, but have little time to play with all of them. Of course, selling would be an option, but here we all have the HODL mentality...

Renting the cards is a win - win situation. It is a source of passive income for the investors like me, and makes a beautiful experience for active players.

As an example, I just listed on the market a level 4 Flesh Golem for only 5 DEC per day. An affordable way for Earth players to get a a solid tank: 9 point of life, with 3 point of melee attack, and Heal ability:

Later update: The card was rented in a matter of seconds by @tenzin69. A new user that joined Hive just two days ago, and already very active Splinterlands player.

Enjoy!
