Hello SPI members, LEO community and RABONA fans,
during the last season, SPI Sharks and SPI LEO Lions FC finally got promoted to league 2! In both cases, the teams succeeded against hard competition from their SPI club members, who came in second place (Eddies Eagles and Dynamo Dresden). From a financial standpoint, SPI sharks achieved that promotion on a very high rentability with a net result of 625K. SPI LEO Lions achieved the same result with another loss of almost 2 million RBN. Financial Results for the club-teams that came in second are also varying considerably. Eddies Eagesl achieved net results of +206K, whereas Dynamo Dresden brought in a little loss of -114K. Unfortunately, for spicity we are lacking the data. The team managed to get on 9th place, sitting on huge cash reserves of nearly 14 million RBN (see the statistic section)

Overall Winner is: Least number of seasons to break-even investment (100 HIVE) after reaching League 1.
So the first competition for the teams is to reach League 2 and League 1 with a minimal number of seasons.

The Pot increased to 140 PAL with @silverstackeruk joining the game and betting on SPI LEO Lions. There were some misunderstandings around for the topic of the bet as well as the account that shall receive the PAL. Just to clarify again, we are betting on the team that will first enter into League 1 and all the PAL should be transferred to @spi-contests along with the name of the team the player is betting. I hope that we will receive some more bets during this season.

For the statistic part it interesting to see that SPI Sharks managed the promotion of his team with a mean salary of 400 RBN only. These players are absolutely hand-picked, as they have an overall strength of 62, which is only 6 points less than the strength of the team of SPI LEO Lions with a mean salary of 4,327. As only Eddies Eagesl and spicity have invested in the youth academy, @alexvan has bought these players from the open market most probably. Despite his excessive investment into players @jk6276 managed to still have a lot of RBN (15 million) available. It might be that he is building this team mainly on a good hand in treating RBN on the open market than on in-game profitability. Let's see how things further develop in this season.
