I've been investing in silver for several years, but lately I've been thinking about investing in art. But somehow I didn't know how and where to start and especially what to focus on. A few days ago, I received a brochure from the Czech Mint, and here I noticed an interesting name. That name was the academic painter Karel Zeman. The name sounded familiar to me, so I searched for it using Google. And I found out that he is a leading author of Czech comics.
Do stříbra investuji již několik let, ale poslední dobou jsem začal přemýšlet o investicích do umění. Ale nějak jsem nevěděl jak a ke začít a hlavně na co se zaměřit. Před pár dny se mi dostala do ruky brožura České mincovny a zde jsem si všiml jednoho zajímavého jména. Tím jménem byl akademický malíř Karel Zeman. Jméno mi přišlo povědomé a tak jsem si ho vyhledal pomocí googlu. A zjistil jsem že jde o předního autora Českého komiksu.
Therefore, I headed to the website of the Czech Mint to see if the medal from this author is still available. To my surprise, this piece was still for sale, even though it is made in a load of only 500 pieces. Usually all minted medals and coins are sold before stamping.
Proto jsem zamířil na web České mincovny zda je medaile od tohoto autora stále k dispozici. K mému překvapení právě tento kousek byl stále ke koupi i když je vyroben v nákladu pouze 500 ks. Většinou všechny ražené medaile a mince jsou prodány ještě před vyražením.
The medal is sold in a tasteful box with a certificate of authenticity and a story of what is actually embossed on the medal.
Medaile je prodávána ve vkusné krabičce s certifikátem pravosti a příběhem co je vlastně na medaili vyraženo.
The medal itself depicts Sigismund of Luxembourg fighting a dragon and the date of the establishment of the Order of the Dragon on 12 December 1408.
Na samotné medaili je zobrazen Zikmund Lucemburský bojující s drakem a datum založení Řádu draka 12. 12. 1408.
On the other side is the royal couple of Sigismund of Luxembourg and Barbora Celjská, and in the background a Christian knight and a Turkish archer. The sun and the moon symbolize the warring parties.
Na druhé straně je královský pár Zikmunda Lucemburského a Barbory Celjské a na pozadí křesťanský rytíř a turecký lučištník. Slunce a měsíc symbolizují bojující strany.
