Mele Kalikimaka (Merry Christmas To You)

A Christmas Song

There is a Christmas song that goes...

Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say on a bright Hawaiian Christmas day. That's the island greeting that we send to you from the land where palm trees sway. Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright. The sun will shine by day and all the stars at night. Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way to say Merry Christmas to you

Silver Christmas Tree

I was born and raised in the sunny island paradise of Hawaii. Indeed, Christmases are always green and bright, and the sun shines by day and all the stars by night!

The pourer of this piece is a Kama’aina. He is the first Hawaiian stacker-pourer I know. That is why I value this silver bar!

Christmas Tree

Christmas Trees always marked the holidays. It doesn't matter if it is a 2 or 3 or 20 feet tree. Add lights, decor, and a present or two... then it is Christmas!

The origins of the Christmas tree may be pagan or Christian but what is important is that it "brings to us such joy and glee, a symbol of goodwill and love." “Oh Christmas Tree” was written by Ernst Anschutz in 1820s.

From my home to yours, I wish you all a Merry Christmas!

MELE KALIKIMAKA!
