The iconic image of Elizabeth II may be seen on the coin's reverse. Ian Rank-Broadley drew this in 1998 specifically for the Royal Mint of England. Other Commonwealth coins like as those for Australia, New Zealand, and Britain, prominently feature the profile of Elizabeth II.
During his second journey, Christopher Columbus discovered Saint Kitts, which was populated by Carib people. He gave it the name Saint Christopher in honor of his patron saint. Settlers under Sir Thomas Warner abbreviated the name to Saint Kitts.
Columbus saw Nevis in 1493 as well. Columbus gave the island its name after describing the clouds above Nevis Peak as las nieves, or "the snows," when he first saw it.
