St. George slaying the dragon is shown on the reverse of the 2022 1 oz Silver Modern Masters St. George & the Dragon Coins. Jody Clark's action-packed illustration features George riding a horse to the left while carrying a spear. The dragon is to the right and prepares to engage its foe by spreading its claws. The year 2022, Clark's initials, and a sophisticated border pattern are all included with the design.
The late Elizabeth II is shown on the obverse of the 2022 Ascension Island Silver Modern Masters St. George & the Dragon coins. She is depicted donning the George IV State Diadem in this 2015 effigy by Jody Clark. Elizabeth II, Ascension Island, and Two Pounds are inscribed along the rim.
Benedetto Pistrucci's famed 1817 St. George and the Dragon gold sovereign design is being depicted by three of today's most well-known coin artists as part of the Modern Masters Series. The collection honors that numismatic masterpiece from 1817 and its lasting legacy. The first replica is being handled by former Royal Mint engraver Jody Clark. The succeeding two coins are designs by South Africa’s Natanya Van Niekerk and America’s John Mercanti.
