As you probably know by now, the community is voting for witnesses to establish who is to lead our Steem community going forward.
What you may not know is that you could be voting for a witness that no longer runs a witness node and doesn’t perform the functions and duties of a witness. These are wasted votes because it means your vote doesn’t count and your voice in determining the leadership of Steem isn’t being heard.
I suggest you look over this list and remove any votes you have for these EX-witnesses, as they are no longer Witnesses.
You may also want to consider only voting for the witnesses who have a chance of getting into the top 20 witness slots and have a seat at the table of power that determines our future. Please differentiate old Steemit witnesses from new Tron witnesses before casting your vote so you actually vote for the side in this conflict you wish to support.
In general the former Steem witnesses have much larger numbers of people voting for them then the new Tron witnesses.
If your unsure ask. The important thing is that you exercise your right to vote for the leadership. Democracy and freedom are not free. Participation in the voting us the minimal activity to preserve this system.
