Introducing Gemini's Cryptopedia and RenVM

Starting my day with finding reference to an exciting new information resource, I thought it worth stopping my other activities and writing to you about it. Along with it, I will share some brief points about its association with a new crypto investment I have made recently.

Almost from the outset of my "journey" investing into this remarkable new asset class, I found Gemini's Exchange to be very reliable. It is currently my "go to" exchange for moving fiat into these new "virtual worlds." And has been for some time ...

Like any well run business, they just keep getting better and better, as they introduce new product offerings. This morning I got an email from them announcing:

"... the launch of Cryptopedia, a free educational platform that provides open-access, high-quality crypto education to the world."

I was immediately interested in checking it out.

Gemini Exchange and its new Cryptopedia! πŸ‘

Based out of New York, the Gemini Exchange was founded by the Winklevoss twins - Cameron and Tyler.

If not familiar with their story, they had a famous legal battle with Mark Zuckerberg over who originated the idea behind what became FaceBook. While they lost the lawsuit battle over ownership, they did reportedly win millions in a settlement.

Which they reportedly promptly invested into Bitcoin in 2013. And HODLed them all ... πŸ™Œ

Needless to say, they're doing all right ... πŸ˜‰

In launching Cryptopedia, they are further investing into being "your trusted source for all things crypto." Given their expertise and the "pool of talent" they have assembled around them, you may wish to add this resource to your own trusted sources of information.

I have. It was easily done by adding my email address to their subscription list. As a free service, I don't think you can go wrong.

RenVM and RenBridge

Reader's of my posts may recall I am not a fan of "wrapped" tokens, but understand their "stopgap" necessity and, as a result, I am a WLEO liquidity pool investor.

As stated in this referenced post, I think a lot of very talented teams of people are working on much better "native token" alternatives. Always on the lookout for them, RenVM and its RenBridge is a candidate worthy of consideration.

Upon checking into Cryptopedia this morning, I was pleasantly surprised to see an article on RenVM on their list. Further impressed upon finding it was authored by cofounder Taiyang Zhang, dear reader, I would like to briefly introduce it to you now.

RenVM refers to itself as "... an open protocol providing access to inter-blockchain liquidity for all decentralized applications."

While today there are 1,000s of digital assets based on blockchain technology, we all are likely aware many of them are either DOA or will be soon enough. So, while RenVM will likely never be close to supporting them all, we can assume they will certainly provide support for the uhhh ... "big boys!"

Here ...

... we see RenVM's currently supported list, with more being added all the time.

Via RenBridge and its use of the Metamask wallet, we can see it is already connecting to both the Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain blockchains.

Great start!

After performing some due diligence and learning about its recent announcement of a partnership with crypto trading firm Alameda Research, as well as appreciating their approach to protecting privacy, I am now an investor in REN!

In it, I referenced writing it as a "POL" post, along with this explanation ...

  • "POL" @roleerob? Never a big fan of the common POB (Proof-of-Brain ... πŸ˜’) references, I decided to play with it a little. So ... "POL" is "Proof-of-Life" ... πŸ˜‰

Well ...

Consider this my latest "POL" post ... πŸ˜‰ "Real life" has not allowed me the time to resume contributing content as I have in the past. But ...

With the LeoFinance community's upcoming launch of both "Project Blank" (anticipated to be some sort of Leo version of "Twitter on a blockchain" ...) and LeoFi, while I may not be resuming a high level of activity for the foreseeable future, you can rest assured ...

I'll be around!

Closing

Choosing to invest into this remarkable new asset class beginning in August 2017, I've endured the ❄️ "long, hard crypto winter" ❄️and HODLed tight to my tokens throughout ...

For those of you who have a similar story, isn't this new crypto Spring nice!🌻🌻🌻

If choosing to continue to invest, you can't get enough good information, particularly information in which you can place some confidence. As I have never personally been let down by Gemini (which is rare), I really hope you find some value in this great new resource.

For me, as much as anything else, I can count on knowing the staff at Gemini must themselves have a favorable view of any crypto they choose to write about. Otherwise, why would they waste their valuable time?

I’d love to hear any feedback you may be inspired to provide.

Until "next time," all the best to you for a better tomorrow, as we all work together to build up our LeoFinance Community and add increasing value to our Hive blockchain! πŸ‘ 😊

Respectfully,
