1000DEC $1 soft-peg confirmed, nice to have a proxy-stable, for now!

So all it took was one cheeky announcement from @aggroed in the Splinterlands Discord a couple of days ago....

And lo and behold the decline of DEC to below $1 per thousand stops and were' back up to around the $1 soft-peg.

The way they're doing this is by allowing the purchase of Chaos Legion packs for either $4 or 4000 DEC, so it makes little point selling DEC for less than that price.

This will only last as long as the CHAOS packs last, but that will probably be a good few months yet, quite possibly all the way to the end of 2023 the rate things have been going.

So until then we've got a reliable token to hold onto which SHOULD remain pegged to $1 per a thousand.

I'm also thinking the Splinterlands team might well release some DEFI options rewarding pooling DEC with say Hive and SPS, rewarded probably in SPS, it's in the roadmap for SPS after all.

So that might open up the possibility of actually holding onto DEC in the medium term (the rest of 2022) rather than just spunking the whole lot on Chaos Packs once the SPS drop is done.

In the longer term who knows whether DEC is a hold or not...
