Layoffs are never good but lots of companies get fat and need to learn to be lean. A lesson you never learn when times are good. And the good ones learn to stay lean when times are good again. We shall see.
I 100% agree, hopefully they learn from this. I think its likely we see more layoffs. Even at 45% that still leaves over 80 employees and possibly independent contractors on top of that. I'm not sure who did and didn't get laid off but I hope they took seniority into consideration. Meaning I hope they kept the ones that helped them build when the game was just starting. Without them and the original investors the game wouldn't be where its at today.
