This is my submission for the Splinterlands Challenge in which we need to share Tips for Beginners!
The theme of the challenges has been different in the last few weeks and it is good because this is helping us to explore different sides of the game. Following the different themes, we also get a variety of content on the contest that can help many people who are joining the platform. I appreciate what the Splinterland team is doing because they are trying to keep the contest creative and supporting many content creators.
What is Splinterlands
It's a play to earn a game built on blockchain. We can also call it a Web 3 game because it's a next-generation game where digital assets are used. It is also a player-to-player game where we can play the battle using cards and everything is built on blockchain so it is entirely a digital game. It is play to earn that is allowing us to earn some assets carrying nice monetary value but we also need to pay to start with this game. Now the other part would be to invest more in different assets and grow the account to experience a higher level of claiming with splinter lands. As far as the game is concerned it is one of the best games I have ever seen that is built on the blockchain and this is the only game I play as of now that I've been playing for the last three years.
How to Getting Started
This step is very easy and you can go to their homepage by going through https://splinterlands.com there you need to log in if you already have a hive account. In case you don't have a high account then you can sign up for the account and within minutes you should be ready to start playing the battle. Please note that as a newbie to the game, You would be able to play practice matches but if you want to be part of ranked battles, you need to buy a spellbook. The cost of one spellbook is ten dollars and once you buy that then you are eligible to play in ranked battle which means you are also eligible to earn game rewards. So I can see that joining this game or getting started with this game is like connecting dots between 1,2,3. The entire process is very easy and you do not face any problem with getting started on this game.
Strategy Tips for Beginners:
I think this is one of the parts that every individual will plan differently but still, I share some tips which can be helpful for new players in the game. We often struggle with the assets and means cards in the game. So we have a rental market where you can take any card on the rent.
- If you are in the position to buy cards then it's great but if in case you are not then also you can start with the game by taking the cards on rent from the rental market.
- Now SPS is also a requirement to get better rewards because the reward multiplier has been introduced in the game. I would like to share here that you can also get SPS on rent in the market.
- You also need to go through different articles to learn and understand more about the cards and abilities. You should focus more on the learning side in the beginning because this will help you have a better understanding of the game.
- It is also important to play more battles and that too every day so that you get familiar with the gaming UI and I'm sure that after a few days, you will not be feeling any difficulty in the game.
- After some time you can also plan your strategy according to the league that you are part of and slowly you can continue to increase it further. With higher league yoghurt better rewards but you should not be in a hurry to reach higher because it may be difficult for you to battle on higher leagues.
Community
Needless to say, the community is just amazing and they are the people who welcome everyone. I did not know about gaming when I started with this and justice because of the community support I was able to grab more knowledge in less than six months. I was spending more time on the community page to go through different articles and see what are the components and how they work. You can reach out to the support team if needed but you always have the community support so if you have any questions feel free to ask them and I'm sure it will be answered as soon as possible.
Community is one of the best parts of splinterlands and I'm very happy that I am part of such a vibrant community that is growing significantly. Early Experience
I have been playing this game since March 2020 and it's been more than 3 years. My early experience was pretty good because even though I was new in the game I got great community support. In the beginning, I was not at all focused on reward instead my primary focus was to learn about the game and understand how this game needs to be played. I had no experience with gaming before joining this blockchain platform so I had to spend more time compared to other players. Luckily in my case because of the pandemic, there was lockdown so I had plenty of time that I could invest in the game to enhance my learning. This worked in my favor because I could learn more about the game in less time. Learning is very important unless you are a pro player so if you are new then just try learning more about the game and overall token economy.
After some time you'll have a better understanding of the game which will help you play better and of course, earn a nice reward based on your overall asset holding in the game. It's simple the more value of assets you hold in your account the better grammar reward you are going to achieve every season and that too daily. The long-term commitment is also very important that I have been doing and I still believe that this game has the potential to go a lot in the next few years. If I talk about myself I haven't sold any asset so far in my journey since day one because my goal with this game is for the long term.
