While dogecoin is a meme coin it has a very strong community and also a fork of an early crypto(currency) so it is moar like bitcoin and litecoin than other meme coins, but the dog is of course a meme. Pepe has been very popular and value has followed creating sum riches for few that bought early and sold for a profit. Mainly people are having fun with the PEPE coins/tokens and that is what it is here, mostly for entertainment.
