Over the years I've been discovering some very useful tools to improve my posts and I want to share them with you. Most of you are already familiar with most of them but this is something I wish I knew existed when I first joined Hive.

All tools are related to images but each one of them as a slightly different purpose. I'm not a pro using any of them but my posting habits have been blossoming and so are my skills. Every week I learn something new that allows me to take my posts up a notch.

1 - Canva

https://www.canva.com is the most useful tool in my arsenal. I use it to make this minimalist looking blogger headers but you can go as complex as you want. They offer a lot of free templates and features that you can use to make amazing images. You can use it to make any size / style of image you might want to use on your posts even animated ones which I will be using to make an animated footer in the future.

Here's my first draft... Feels free to share your opinion.

2 - Remove

https://www.remove.bg Want to use an image but it doesn't have a clear background? Simply upload it to the website and it will turn the background transparent! Sometimes it messes up the process a little bit but you can use the tools to manually adjust whatever is wrong with the image before you download the final version. Very useful when you need to upload PNG's into your Canva design to make those headers.

3 - Open Source Images

Sometimes you don't have pictures or photos of your own to complement your posts so that where this websites come in handy. I usually like to browse all three of these until I find an image I'm satisfied with: https://unsplash.com/, https://stockup.sitebuilderreport.com/, https://www.pexels.com/.

If you use these images I advise that you put the source underneath the image to give credit to the people who willingly put out free content for us to use.

4 - Flaticon

https://www.flaticon.com/ Find great vector images for free. This is also very useful for making those blogging headers, I found this new tools recently when I wanted an icon with a transparent background for my Celsius Phishing Scam image. Not all of them are free but usually there's a wide variety of good locking free options for every theme you might need. Here's a bee for example:

5 - MockupPhone

https://mockuphone.com/ I haven't used this one yet but someone recommended it to me and I decided to bookmark for future use. So I'm using it right now to show you how it looks. It generates a mockup of whatever phone you choose and it displays an image of your choosing inside the screen.
