Crypto’s joke coin ,Doge coin’s price went flying on Jan 29th. This partly was also due to the influence of the now widely heard of Reddit’s r/Wallstreetbets group. Yeah those guys, I wrote about in my last article, who had brought down the wealthy Wall Street firms with huge losses.

This daredevil group's tactics of having brought down the mighty wall street investors can be read here. Many have commented that this was the beginning of a social movement of retailers against the big guys who generally profit out of the loss making moves of innocent retailers. Cool, that for once the tables turned around with the GameStop stock incident.

After, the GME stock rise incident trended, a tweet from the chairman of the Reddit’s r/Wallstreetbets that enquired about Dogecoin, may have partly led to the price of DOGE coin flying, after all this is the favorite crypto for groups to manipulate, as is evident with the TikTok incident, that had few TikTok users spread the word on collective buying of DOGE coin with a investment of 25$ and bringing its price up, so everyone makes 100$ out of their DOGE coin investment.

Jan 29th had Doge coin's price fly maybe because of this tweet from the chairman of r/Wallstreetbets group

However, even then DOGE crypto had fundamental reasons for its price to rise as news about it entering DEFI space thanks to Ren protocol made news.

r/Wallstreetbets group have no desire to dabble with Blockchain and crypto

It turns out that the now well renowned r/Wallstreetbets group frown upon crypto and blockchain assets and guidelines of the group mention that group members are prohibited to talk about any “blockchain shit” in the group. HA!!

CoinMarketCap using r/Wallstreetbets to humour us crypto investors - WSB coin a joke!!

CoinMarketCap cracks a joke listing WSB coin above Bitcoin - Ha, Ha, Ha!!

Right, even then the crypto community have taken a fancy to them. The whole r/Wallstreetbets episode is taken in good humour and CoinMarketCap has honoured the group with a WSB coin as a joke in front of the mighty big Bitcoin, in the CoinMarketCap rankings. Ofcourse, it’s a joke and no such coin exists, as explained above the r/Wallstreetbets group don’t like crypto.

However, CoinMarketCap wanted to humour us serious and honest crypto investors, and serious crypto investors like me with a serious cat like Mochu. HA!!

Discord earlier banned r/Wallstreetbets, looks like they are protecting the interests of Wall Street giants

discort.jpg

Alas, but many don’t take r/Wallstreetbets’s GME stock price rise play in good humour. Discord has banned WallStreetBets server saying that they are doing so because the group was spreading misinformation and propagating hate speech mentioning that they are not removing the group because of the GME financial fraud they were engaged in.

However, no one believes this because, well, Discord has taken this extreme move only after the GME incident. Many have said that Discort has resorted to do this to protect wealthy WallStreet firms from moves of organised retail investors as that of r/Wallstreetbets’, that would have these giant investors lose more money.

There is no sportsmanship apparently, when big investors have profited several times through manipulation with the retail investors at the losing end.

Robinhood Exchange joined the side of supporting the investors of Wall Street investors not retailers

What is more, Robinhood Exchange barred retailers from buying more of GME stocks protecting the interests of the wealthy big Wall Street investors. Something that many are aghast about, particularly the blockchain and crypto community who believe in censorship restraint platforms and decentralisation. Ofcourse, an exchange with a name Robinhood, but being on the side of the powerful rich does not rhyme well a tall don’t you think?
