As I look back on my experience, in splinterlands it reminds me of how it all began with a question during the days of the Covid-19 pandemic. I was curious if there was a game which you could earn money from. This sparked my interest. I started diving into research about gold farming in WoW and its implications in real-world trading. Little did I realize that this exploration would lead me to an adventure in the world of splinterlands.
Achievement 1 -- Opening 1000 Chaos Legion Packs
One standout moment in my journey came when I decided to open 1,000 Chaos Legion packs. Initially, I had reservations about pack openings due to concerns about their predatory nature. However, fuelled by optimism during the 2021 Crypto NFT bull run, I enthusiastically embraced the challenge. It turned into a year-long endeavor filled with weekly updates and each update brought me closer to this significant milestone. Despite the ups and downs of the crypto market the unwavering support from the Splinterlands community kept me motivated. Finally completing this challenge felt like a triumph---a demonstration of both perseverance and consistency.
Achievement 2 -- 50k SPS Staked
Reaching the milestone of staked 50,000 SPS tokens was not something I had planned for, and it unfolded organically. Originally my goal was to acquire 10,000 tokens, but once that goal was achieved, the next milestones just kept on falling. While reaching the milestone of 50,000 staked SPS tokens was an achievement it merely served as a steppingstone towards my blue-sky target - staking 100,000 SPS tokens.
Achievement 3 -- 300+ Blog Posts
Another remarkable aspect of the splinterlands experience is their support for content creators. Encouraged by this support I embarked on a writing journey dedicated to the game and have penned over 300 blog posts. What initially began as a commitment to write two posts per week blossomed into an endeavor that only deepened my engagement with splinterlands but also enriched my presence on the Hive platform. Throughout this journey, community members, like @costanza provided advice emphasizing consistency and long-term commitment. splinterlands isn't just a game; it's a voyage of personal growth and learning fuelled by the passion of its vibrant community.
Achievement 4 -- Complete Chaos Legion Regular Foil Set
Completing the Chaos Legion set has been a cathartic experience for me. While everyone is buzzing about the Rebellion set there's something about the Chaos Legion that resonates with me. It not only motivated me to take on the challenge of opening 1000 Chaos Legion packs. But also gave me the chance to achieve something remarkable - owning a complete regular foil Chaos Legion set. This is certainly a feat that many trading card game enthusiasts would envy. Regardless of market fluctuations having a comprehensive collection brings me pride.
Concluding Thoughts
Looking back at my time in splinterlands I feel a sense of accomplishment and appreciation. Although my achievements may not be anything groundbreaking, it does represent many 1000s of hours of dedication and perseverance on my part. From opening 1000 Chaos Legion packs to reaching a stake of 50,000 SPS; each milestone serves as proof of how community support and consistent effort can lead to rewards.
