I created it via Peakd, which cost 3 Hive, which is fine, why it costs what is known to everyone.
I had actually wanted to create an account via my reflink from Inleo.
But here I can only create one via X or Gmail, which I didn't want. These would also be Lite accounts as far as I know, which I didn't want anyway.
If you select "Create hive account", a phone number is displayed next to X, but this cannot be selected. So you can only use X if you want the keys straight away.
For the fact that Inleo wants to onboard so many users and even has a large proposal for this, I think the registration option is very modest.
It should be possible to use any e-mail address, which is what Ecency offers.
Or that you then also refer to https://signup.hive.io/, where further options are listed, which should also be updated.
It would also be possible to save a referer assignment despite the fact that the account is created elsewhere.
I have therefore asked on Discord why this is limited to X and Gmail, because there are enough people who don't have either of them or may not want to or even be allowed to use them for various reasons.

I don't share Kahl's view that this is a marketing issue; for me it's more of a technical issue. A hurdle is being erected here from the outset, thus excluding potential users.
In addition, Inleo has extended marketing to everyone through the referral system. Inleo itself may focus on certain users and channels, but we users don't see any restrictions here. If we advertise to someone, it's also on completely different channels, forums, blogs, magazines (it was an interesting Monday Meetup!!) and of course word of mouth.
There has already been a lot of discussion about this and I have also expressed my opinion. In my opinion, the proposal is too expensive, i.e. costs per recruited user or rather targeted user. And my opinion is now even more confirmed after I had to experience this restriction.
That's also the reason why I didn't vote for this and gave my vote for the return proposal, so that it won't be paid out any more.

Eine x-beliebige E-Mailadresse sollte doch ohne weiteres auch möglich sein, was Ecency anbietet.
Oder dass man dann auch auf https://signup.hive.io/ verweist, wo weitere Optionen gelistet sind, was aber auch mal aktualisiert werden müsste.
Wäre ja auch möglich trotz dessen, dass der Account anderweitig erstellt wird, eine Referer - Zuordnung zu speichern.
Ich habe daher auf Discord mal nachgefragt, wieso denn das auf X und Gmail beschränkt ist, denn es gibt ja doch genügend, die keins von beiden haben oder ggf. aus diversen Gründen diese nicht nutzen wollen oder gar dürfen.

Ich teile Kahls Ansicht nicht, dass es sich hierbei um ein Marketingthema handelt; für mich ist es vielmehr eine technische Angelegenheit. Hier wird von vornherein eine Hürde aufgebaut und so potenzielle Nutzer ausgeschlossen.
Zudem hat Inleo durch das Referersystem das Marketing auf jeden ausgeweitet. Inleo selber konzentriert sich vielleicht auf bestimmte Nutzer un Kanäle, aber wir Nutzer sehen hier ja keine Einschränkungen. Wenn wir jemandem Werben, dann auch auf ganz anderen Kanälen, Foren, Blogs, Zeitschriften (war ein interessantes Montags-Meetup!!) und natürlich Mundpropaganda.
Es wurde schon viel darüber diskutiert und ich hatte auch meine Meinung dazu gesagt. Meiner Meinung nach ist das proposal zu teuer, also Kosten pro geworbenen User bzw. eher angestrebten User. Und meine Meinung wird nun noch mehr bestärkt, nachdem ich diese Einschränkung erfahren musste.
Das ist auch der Grund wieso ich dieses nicht Vote und meine Stimme für das return Proposal gegeben habe, damit es auch weiterhin nicht ausgezahlt wird.
