The 12-month National home price index keeps increasing in the United States. According to the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller National Home Price Index, the 12-month increase in April 2022 was 20.39% compared to the one reported for March 2022 which was 20.55%.
There is a slight decline in the speed at which the home prices are rising. Could this be one of the first indicators of a softening market?
The index in April 2022 was 300.85. March 2022's index was 294.50, so the month to month increase was 2.16%.
