_En este lindo día he venido a compartir con ustedes mi participación en la edición 81 del concurso semanal de la comunidad [Ladies of Hive](https://ecency.com/hive-124452/@ladiesofhive/ladies-of-hive-community-contest-81) y contarles mi experiencia cultivando en mi propio jardín, algo que me encanta y disfruto mucho, sin duda un tema muy interesante que no puedo dejar de compartir con ustedes, espero que les guste y sea de su agrado, sin más, aquí les cuento._

_Siempre me ha gustado cultivar mis propias frutas y verduras, por suerte cuento con un buen jardín y patio trasero donde puedo llevar a cabo esta actividad, al principio era muy difícil, pues, el suelo no era muy bueno, las plantas se enfermaban, llegaban muchos insectos dañinos para las plantas y al final estas morían, poco a poco mi pareja y yo hemos trabajado este suelo y hemos añadido tierra nueva para mejorarlo, además de compost, fertilizantes y algunas lombrices, todo ese trabajo fue difícil de hacer, pero, ha valido por completo la pena, después de varios intentos fallidos por fin podemos cosechar todo tipo de frutas y verduras y el resultado de todo ese trabajo ha sido muy gratificante, hay épocas en las que no necesitamos comprar verduras para cocinar, pues las hemos cosechado directo de nuestro patio trasero y eso es increíble, me emociono mucho cada vez que salgo y veo alguna fruta o verdura lista de cosechar, es una sensación muy gratificante y que en cierto modo me llena de orgullo._

_I have always liked to grow my own fruits and vegetables, luckily I have a good garden and backyard where I can carry out this activity, at first it was very difficult, because the soil was not very good, the plants got sick, they many insects harmful to the plants and in the end they died, little by little my partner and I have worked this soil and we have added new soil to improve it, as well as compost, fertilizers and some worms, all that work was difficult to do, but, it has been completely worth it, after several failed attempts we can finally harvest all kinds of fruits and vegetables and the result of all that work has been very gratifying, there are times when we do not need to buy vegetables to cook, because we have harvested them Straight from our backyard and that's amazing, I get very excited every time I go out and see some fruit or vegetable ready to pick, it's a very rewarding feeling and it fills me up in a way to pride._

_Nuestra primera cosecha fue de chiles, hacer aproximadamente 2 años y se nos dio muy bien, tuvimos suficientes para cosechar por un buen tiempo y cocinar con ellos, luego comenzamos a incluir tomates, pero por alguna razón los tomates enfermaban, probamos con cherry y se dieron tan pero tan bien que aun los seguimos cosechando, durante todo el año tenemos plantas de tomates cherry y siempre tenemos en nuestro refrigerador para las comidas._

_Our first harvest was chili peppers, about 2 years ago and we did very well, we had enough to harvest for a long time and cook with them, then we started to include tomatoes, but for some reason the tomatoes got sick, we tried cherry tomatoes and they They gave so, so well that we still harvest them, throughout the year we have cherry tomato plants and we always have them in our refrigerator for meals._

_En nuestro patio trasero hemos cosechado muchas cosas, patilla, fresa, melón, chiles, tomates, lechosa, pimentón, ají dulce, Jamaica, parchita, espinaca, plátano, berenjena y una gran cantidad de girasoles, todas y cada una de las cosechas han sido buenas, aunque no todas han sido abundantes, la lechosa solo fue una vez pero esa única vez la planta nos dio unas 7 frutas de buen tamaño, la patilla no fue muy grande, pues, a planta es muy delicada y costó mucho mantenerla con vida y lograr la cosecha de la patilla, sin embargo, pudimos comer patilla de nuestra huerta, de igual manera sucedió con los melones, nunca había visto unos melones tan pequeños como los que se dieron en mi patio, eran tan pequeños que cabían en una sola mano, a pesar de su tamaño eran deliciosos y muy dulces, todas estas fueron cosechas de una sola vez pero todas fueron muy buenas y disfrutamos mucho de la cosecha._

_In our backyard we have harvested many things, watermelon, strawberry, melon, chiles, tomatoes, papaya, paprika, sweet pepper, Jamaica, passion fruit, spinach, banana, eggplant and a large number of sunflowers, each and every one of the harvests has been good, although not all have been abundant, the milky one was only once but that only time the plant gave us about 7 good-sized fruits, the pin was not very large, well, the plant is very delicate and it was very difficult to maintain it with life and achieve the harvest of the watermelon, however, we were able to eat watermelon from our garden, in the same way it happened with the melons, I had never seen melons as small as the ones that grew in my patio, they were so small that they fit in a single hand, despite their size they were delicious and very sweet, these were all one-time harvests but they were all very good and we enjoyed the harvest very much._

_Aunque no se trata de una fruta o verdura también tuvimos una buena cantidad de girasoles en nuestro patio, tan hermosos, radiantes, brillantes que adornaban y llenaban de vida nuestro patio, era increíble tener tantos y de todos los tamaños, y al secarse obtuvimos muchísimas semillas para volver a sembrar y también consumir._

_Although it is not a fruit or vegetable, we also had a good amount of sunflowers in our patio, so beautiful, radiant, bright that they decorated and filled our patio with life, it was incredible to have so many and of all sizes, and when they dried we obtained many seeds to re-sow and also consume._

_De todo lo que hemos cosechado es nuestro patio nuestro lo que más nos ha gustado y que mejor se da es el tomate cherry, lo cosechamos durante todo el año, siempre tenemos muchos en el refrigerador y nunca falta en nuestras comida, estos tomates son especiales para guisos, salsas para pizza o pastas y en ensaladas son muy ricos._

_Esta ha sido mi experiencia cultivando mis propias frutas y verduras directo de mi jardín, sin duda ha sido algo muy gratificante que siempre he disfrutado, he tenido la dicha de cultivar muchas cosas para mi consumo y ha sido increíble, es algo a lo que podría dedicarme de por vida sin aburrirme ni cansarme, me despido invitando a participar a mi amiga @corimarstorys a compartirnos su experiencia._
