Staked & Incentivized: Talking Splinterlands' VRUZ

So I decided to check out the sale of VRUZ even if I am not a big fan of the dragon element. But it's a promo card and I could just get it and probably sell it later no matter how small it might be. A lot of splinterlands players are waxing lyrical due to this card and of course, why not? I've seen its abilities at its Maximum level and it's unbelievable. Being a promo card also makes people FOMO on it. These days, no one wants to miss out on potential profits.

We're in a very speculative period in splinterlands and a lot of people are speculating about where the big money will hit when the next splinterlands bull happens. So the players with the means and skin to spread around putting money where they predict futuristic value, and of course, this is also the same for the VRUZ. Although I won't entirely say I don't feel like owning this one. I just think I might not be able to play with of. In all honesty, my dragon deck is the weakest in all the elements, and I haven't gotten any soulbound dragon cards, I don't know if this is just me.

However, If I had the cash, I could have just gone in big on this one, and bought it for keeps sake, however, with limited to almost nothing, I don't think I should even own anything I'm not using on the battlefield, unless, the money is there. However, I have nearly 3k staked SPS and about two vouchers, so I decided to buy one of the VRUZs, just to experience the thrill of owning it. However, I'm not disputing the fact that I might use it one day. Although I just got one copy of the card.

At the time of the purchase, I had about two vouchers and I qualified to own two of them, but I sent one voucher to hive-engine and trying to get it back to make the second purchase seemed abortive, however, there are still three days to the end of the sale and I believe that the I could sneak in one more when hive-engine stops acting up. Moreover, I feel the big boys haven't even started making their purchases. I feel that a lot of players are still contemplating if they should buy vouchers and go ahead with the purchase, and I think some other players are putting together the big money.

One of the quickest ways to make these sales is to make them valuable and limited. The concept of FOMO drives people into investments and for splinterlands, this is a very active way to get people to participate in sales like this. However, for someone like me, having under 3k SPS means I can only buy two, periods like this excite people who are holding and staking SPS. some of these moves remind players that they need to hold assets that might bring further profits and this is the reward for players who are holding SPS.

Once more, a use case for vouchers which somehow thrills me too. I think it's an excellent time to take profit off of vouchers, especially if one has no plans for VRUZ and probably wants to reinvest that money into other splinterlands assets. Splinterlands keeps making those juicy decisions to keep players staked and incentivized, to me, this is a move that eventually pays off in the long run.
