When it comes to people and what their favorite type of games are, many will *probably* start with saying “Shooters, JRPG, Platforms, Metroidvanias, etc, etc, etc” which it’s pretty ok, I myself enjoy a lot of games that fall on those categories and even more I wish to play some of the big tittles that share these aspects on their games, but when my turn comes to say what kind of games I enjoy, I can not be more different than those that I mentioned before. Between the type of games that I enjoy there’s one that makes all the competitive energy in my body (one that is almost nonexistent ahem) to take over me and my mind like nothing else, and that’s the magic that only Rhythm Games can achieve in comparison to other categories in gaming. Not so long ago I talked about the first game that opened the doors for rhythm games to enter my life, that game being Guitar Hero: On Tour, and while the Guitar Hero franchise it’s pretty much on top of other’s rhythm games when I think about the subject, it’s not the only one that has left a big impact within me but as I said, it was rather just the start.

I could name some tittles other than GH but I want to focus on just one of them for now, and that would be Muse Dash, a tittle I’ve enjoyed for some years til now and also one that has a lot to offer me (and also to those who enjoy the game ofc). Muse Dash it’s pretty much like any other rhythm game, but if you want a more clear comparison, I’d say it’s kinda like the Taiko games, you know, that Japanese game where a little drum guide us to hit the notes like it was on a drum, if you know, you know(?) kinda funny that I make that comparison cause I’ve only touched a Taiko game twice *2*, but I’ve played MD waaayyyy more than twice and in my mind it makes sense to say it works like the Taiko games, but yeah, you got a cutesy character, a mini companion to help/boost you up and then you just have to tap max 4 keys and go crazy with the music. 5d14563b46177c2d4241e3c2.jfif

The music the game had was good imo, it aligned pretty well with the taste I had back then (It still does, but back then I was excited to play a Hatsune Miku song in any game that wasn’t from Vocaloid) since it a had a lot of Japanese and Chinese music, along with really rhythm-y and fun and energetic music, the game is full with all kind of music and that makes it so much more enjoyable. But you see, there’s something in Muse Dash that makes it a lot more unique to me, it doesn’t really makes sense when I explain it cause then I start to think and say “But hey, it’s not only rhythm games but most games have those qualities as well…”, and it’s true, I mean, I’d say that MD has everything to make me get hooked on it, amazing and charming character designs (With a couple of variations), fun scenarios, GOOD MUSIC and really cool things you can win while you play, again, like in a lot of games.

[Source](https://www.naguide.com/muse-dash-hidden-achivements/) And it’s note like the game can’t make you suffer, it perfectly can, but it doesn’t matter if you make it fast or slow, it still keep being fun to play, I mean, I haven’t played it in a couple of months, but last time I was starting the game from 0, I played it everyday nonstop for 3 to 4 hours and it was AWESOME, every time I go back to the game there’s a couple updates to check which means there’s more songs to play and other pieces of art the game gives you (I personally like to collect them, it’s fun getting a new one from time to time), which is why I like leaving the game for a bit just to comeback to it with lots of new things waiting for me.

Cuando se trata de la gente y cuales tipos de juegos son sus favoritos, muchos *probablemente* empiezan con decir "Shooters, JRPG, Plataformas, Metroidvanias, etc, etc, etc" que esta bastante bien, yo mismo disfruto de una gran cantidad de juegos que caen en esas categorías y aún más me gustaría jugar a algunos de los grandes títulos que comparten estos aspectos en sus juegos, pero cuando llega mi turno para decir qué tipo de juegos que me gustan, no podría ser más diferente de los que he mencionado antes. Entre el tipo de juegos que disfruto hay uno que hace que toda la energía competitiva de mi cuerpo (Una que es casi inexistente ejem) se apodere de mí y de mi mente como ninguna otra cosa, y esa es la magia que sólo los Juegos de Ritmo pueden lograr en comparación con otras categorías de juegos. No hace mucho hablé del primer juego que abrió las puertas para que los juegos de ritmo entraran en mi vida, ese juego fue Guitar Hero: On Tour, y aunque la franquicia de Guitar Hero está muy por encima de otros juegos de ritmo cuando pienso en el tema, no es el único que ha dejado un gran impacto dentro de mí, pero como dije, fue más bien sólo el comienzo.

Podría nombrar otros títulos además de GH pero quiero centrarme en uno de ellos por ahora, y ese sería Muse Dash, un título que he disfrutado durante algunos años hasta ahora y que también tiene mucho que ofrecerme (Y también a los que disfrutan del juego, por supuesto). Muse Dash es más o menos como cualquier otro juego de ritmo, pero si quieres una comparación más clara, yo diría que es un poco como los juegos de Taiko, ya sabes, ese juego japonés en el que un pequeño tambor nos guía para golpear las notas como si fuera en un tambor, si lo sabes, lo sabes(?) es curioso que haga esa comparación porque sólo he tocado un juego de Taiko dos veces *2*, pero he jugado a MD muuuucho más de dos veces y en mi mente tiene sentido decir que funciona como los juegos de Taiko, pero sí, tienes un personaje adorable, un mini compañero para ayudarte/impulsarte y entonces sólo tienes que golpear máximo 4 teclas y volverte locos con la música. 5d14563b46177c2d4241e3c2.jfif

La música que tenía el juego era buena en mi opinión, se alineaba bastante bien con el gusto que tenía en ese entonces (Aún lo hace, pero en ese entonces me emocionaba tocar una canción de Hatsune Miku en cualquier juego que no fuera de Vocaloid) ya que tenía mucha música japonesa y china, junto con música muy rítmica y divertida y energética, el juego está lleno de todo tipo de música y eso lo hace mucho más disfrutable. Pero verás, hay algo en Muse Dash que lo hace mucho más único para mí, realmente no tiene sentido cuando lo explico porque entonces empiezo a pensar y a decir "Pero bueno, no son sólo juegos de ritmo sino que la mayoría de los juegos tienen esas cualidades también... ", y es cierto, es decir, diría que MD lo tiene todo para que me enganche a él, diseños de personajes increíbles y encantadores (Con un par de variaciones), escenarios divertidos, BUENA MÚSICA y cosas muy geniales que puedes ganar mientras juegas, de nuevo, como en muchos juegos.

[Fuente](https://www.naguide.com/muse-dash-hidden-achivements/) Y no es que el juego no pueda hacerte sufrir, perfectamente puede, pero no importa si le agarras el truco rápido o lento, sigue siendo divertido de jugar, es decir, no lo he jugado en un par de meses, pero la última vez que empecé el juego desde 0, lo jugaba todos los días sin parar durante 3 o 4 horas y era INCREÍBLE, cada vez que vuelvo al juego hay un par de actualizaciones que revisar, lo que significa que hay más canciones que tocar y otras piezas de arte que te da el juego (a mi personalmente me gusta coleccionarlas, es divertido conseguir una nueva de vez en cuando), por eso me gusta dejar el juego por un tiempo para volver a él con un montón de cosas nuevas esperándome.
