Some cards are very rare in the game you hardly see them on the battlefield. As far as I can remember I have only come up against Aganju once and it prompted me to look at its stats back then as well as how much it is going for in the market.
Aganju is a Legendary card from the Fire element, that has advantages to owning a card like this in one's deck. As we saw with the SPS airdrop the Legendary cards get more points for the SPS token airdrop.
We are yet to see how card value will pan out with Land but it is likely the rarity of cards impacts the earning potential for card staking etc.
The above chart from monstermarket shows the price history of the Gold Foil of Aganju.
For the most part of November 2022, it sold for $4000, from there on it dipped to as low as $418, in March 2023. Interestingly between April and May it peaked at $9875 just a little shy of $10K. This is where you get to wonder why the sudden jump in price.
Following the sudden jump in price is also a dip down south as it currently stabilizes at $3333.
The Regular Foil is a little shy of $25 as it is selling for around the $24 range.
Looking at the stats, we are looking at a card with 1 mana cost, 1 melee damage, and 1 health, and a speed of 3 at level 1 with Reach ability.
At max level, it gains extra melee damage, a speed of 5, and 3 health. Aganju is a card from the Dice Pack edition, I had started playing Splinterlands by then but rarely understood all that was going on.
$333 for Aganju at the moment, there has to be demand for cards of this kind somewhere along the line.
