Twitter Hackers Arrested! + Not Following In USA Footsteps?

Did you catch the news today? Three people have been arrested and charged with the recent Twitter hack. You know, the one that took over several accounts belonging to the rich and famous.

Yes, the one that got hold of Obama's, Musk's, Gates', and other high profile accounts. Let's not forget that they subsequently used those accounts to run a Bitcoin scam to the tune of an estimated $100,000.

With all those federal crimes stacking up, can you imagine only taking in $100,000 in BTC? That's only 8.57 BTC at current value. You know what they say. If you you're going to commit the crime, you better be ready to do the time.

Two Teenagers & A Twenty Two Year Old Charged

The youngest of the trio is only 17 years old and was arrested yesterday in Tampa, Florida. Over in California, a 22 year old Floridian and 19 year old Brit were taken into custody and charged by the US Attorney.

Personally, I prefer not to write their names or any more details about the caper than this. These fools don't deserve the attention, except by those responsible for ascertaining their innocence or guilt.

Word is the appropriated BTC is being tracked but the process of recovery may prove much more difficult. Notice how fast the hammer came down when a mainstream social media website was compromised?

Who knows? Though I don't care to mention the accused perpetrators by name or detail, they may end up with movie rights in the near future. Another 'Catch Me If You Can' type situation could unfold before our eyes!

Putin Signs Crypto Bill & Similar Rumors Out Of India

According to news out of Russia, fresh regulations outlaw the use of crypto for payment of goods or services. The bill just signed by Putin makes it legal to exchange any digital asset for another.

It also allows Russians to leverage Crytpo Hodlings as collateral. If you read this the way I do, it means the Russian Government alone can turn Crypto into fiat. Hodlers can offer it to Russian Central Banks for a loan in return.

This isn't necessarily good news for Crypto or the people of Russia. On the horizon are rumors that India plans to pass a similar type of Crypto Regulatory Bill. It would be a bane to the people of India and another road bump for Cryptocurrency.

Big Footsteps To Follow - Our Own!

Back in the USA, it seems the wheels have finally been kicked (so to speak) on the brand new Ford. There was only so long a country that is supposed to stand for freedom could over regulate cryptocurrency.

Though other countries such as South Korea have led the Crypto charge, it's nice to see that the USA is starting to develop a backbone. While always on the lookout for that federal money grab, I hope the trend here continues.

Thanks for reading and as always...
