A Month is a Long Time in LeoFinance

I was away from my phone and laptop for around 26 days. Meanwhile, I was pretty sure that something new will pop up in LeoVerse but I would never imagine such groundbreaking updates could happen in a couple of weeks. The change in Twitter, a.k.a Elon's X, has been pushing people to look for blockchain-based solutions for social media. Obviously, LeoFinance will be a strong competitor to be the one.

What's great about all these updates is the focus on problems. For example, I was fascinated with the section of who to follow. As it is a social platform, people should be in touch with each other, and finding a new like-minded mate must be as easy as possible. Apart from that, spotting the trending tags has never been so easy, even on Twitter.

Normally, I thread about crypto, economy, finance, and hive though I sometimes spend time on photography and music tags as well. What I noticed is the diversity of the tags and the popularity of the tag that is based on sports. I believe there is a milestone being achieved by the team as our platform is designed as an everything app for everyone.

If we talked enough about the X (Twitter) killer, what about our beloved communities that are the strongest enemies of Reddit?

I'm pretty sure that any Reddit user who is not comfortable with the new form of Reddit would be a crazy threader after exploring how easy and rewarding the adoption of crypto via threads.

It is delightful to see the smoothness of communities.

  • Everything about the community is simple and clear.
  • Easy to find content that might be interesting for you.
  • You can explore both blog posts and threads together with one click.

To be honest, this is much better than what I was expecting to see.

I believe most of my time will be spent on the communities section while swinging among hot posts and threads in Splinterlands and LeoFinance.

Imagine when the LeoShorts are added to that list. A Splinterlands player can easily search for the strategies and suggested cards, watch the 20-second video to use them effectively, and play the game on Hive blockchain. It might have sounded like an unreal dream but, obviously, everything about SocialFi is done on Hive with enough work. As I always say, Hive is a perfect match for GameFi and SocialFi compared to the scalability concerns of other blockchains.

The new game by Splinterlands, Genesis League Sports, and many other projects will bring new Hivers to the ecosystem. To onboard and keep these people active, the communities will be a good source of learning and engagement.

We are still in the early phases of the everything app. There is an ongoing Hive DHF proposal by LeoFinance team to accelerate the adoption of Hive and LeoFinance via crypto influencers, ads, and more.

Briefly, there will be a focus on the marketing side with a daily $495 budget. We may need to go viral as Hive communities before the bull run hits. Having some attention on Hive may open the doors for the new crypto enthusiasts who jump into the ecosystem in every bull market. If the goal is achieved, which is bringing 10K crypto people to Hive, there will be a rush into the real SocialFi on the blockchain. Personally, I expect the DHF to pass to start the campaign of marketing.
