Airdrop is the word loved by everyone. In my knowledge the SPS airdrop was one of the longest airdrop which airdrop the token for 365 days. At thatvtime the splinterlands assets were at their peak and my card collection worth was almost $50k.
The SPS token give the Governance in the hands of the community, the proposal put infront of the community for the approval or rejection and users holding the staked SPS token in their accounts voted for the same.
Recently the Splinterlands team has put a proposal for
- Begin SPS Reward Payouts for Land Holders
- Begin SPS Reward Payouts for Tower Defense Pack Holders
Both the proposal were passes already so the players as per the land and Tower Defense Pack holding will get the SPS airdrop.
Please keep in mind you must have the land in your account (game or Hive engine) for the airdrol eligibility, the lands on external platforms like WAX will not be eligible for the aidrop. That also means more token per plot for more the token on external platform. As per the initial calculations 40 SPS per plot per month will be distributed on daily basis. The calculation is based on the considering that no Land is kn external platform.
The SPS whitepaper indicates that 6.25M SPS per month (decreasing at a rate of 1% / month for 65 months) is available to be paid out as part of the upcoming land expansion to the Splinterlands game.
Previously the proposal was passed by the community for reallocate 1M SPS per month from the team pool to a reward pool for the new tower defense game that is currently being developed.
As per the new proposal the reward pool should begin paid out immediately to the players holding the TD game pack in their accounts.
As per the latest news the token will be airdropwd from 11th October onwards.
I am holding 11 no of plots and purchased aprox 150 TD packs. So for 11 Plots will get minimum 440 SPS per month and at current price it's aprox $300 (wow awesome). I don't know the math for TD packs, but SPS airdop per pack will be less for sure.
