In the recent tweet which you will find below, Elon Musk surprisingly discloses to his millions of followers on Twitter that he would be featuring a Doge coin comedy skit on the 8th of May’s edition of the Saturday Night Live Show to which he will be a host. Titled the DOGEFATHER, the comedy skit is expected to reach a large audience around the world, potentially raising renewed interest in the meme coin.
Considering that the sharp and upward movements that have been seen in Doge were largely inspired by the tweets of Elon Musk, it will definitely not be out of place to assume that this new tweet and the attendant comedy skit will attract new investors to Doge coin.
As it would be expected, the price of Doge coin went up by 10 cent to reach 40 cent as soon as the billionaire’s tweet went viral. This was very similar to what happened in early January this year when the Tesla boss tweeted the word Doge for the first time. If history repeats itself, there is little or no doubt that Doge is set for another historical wave.
For a crypto market that is largely driven by speculation and impulse, the coming days will very likely have more investors putting money into Doge coin, an action that has the potential of positioning the meme coin for yet another rally in price. The FOMO created around Doge coin by social media influencers led by Elon and friends, more than anything else, was responsible for the insane move that has so far been seen in the price of the digital asset this year.
As long as that influence remains in operation and the crypto market stays healthy, Doge coin can only go up and up from here. Perhaps, if the Doge army goes to work again and stays alive to their games, $1 Doge is only a few weeks away.
