I'll Take Small Wins Anyday

I have previously mentioned one of my colleagues who managed to cash out big from investing early in a newly launched crypto project and cashing out early. He made pretty significant sums that made my time in the crypto space look like Childs-play, that is if quick profits were my only drive.

At the office we had some later investors who went in after the price of the said token fell and they are still ruing their losses. Some have made up their minds not to sell anticipating a rebound, however unlikely that may seem. We have already discussed how confidence in a crypto projects emanates from value and strong fundamentals, none of which this project possesses.

Yet the unfortunate downturn of events doesn't negate the fact that someone did win with his investment. There was a clear motive and desire for quick and immediate returns while fully acknowledging the risks hence the desire to sell as soon as possible.

There is always that one major landmark victory that sticks out so big it cannot be ignored. Becoming wealthy overnight is certainly one of such and in that moment we can clearly celebrate victory. Yet a ton of wins simply go unnoticed by us because they are small, to the extent we may feel sorry for ourselves rather than create the time to reflect on how far we've come.

Little Drops of Water

Many people underestimate the level of change that moving up in a consistent manner can bring about, no matter how slowly we move. When it comes to finance one of the best ways to achieve results is our ability to accumulate and delay gratification. What may start out as insignificant soon becomes something quite tangible with consistency, time and effort.

Hive is the perfect analogy for this. Zero to a few hundred Hives do not mean much and can be easily overlooked in terms of influence or value. Should a user choose to stack rather than sell though those hundreds become thousands and then tens to thousands by that time the investment becomes something quite significant to the holder.

Let's fact it, many of us are simply not going to become overnight millionaires and billionaires. The vast majority of us are either going to be faced with remaining in our current financial situation and managing it, or putting in consistent work overtime with the hope of changing it.

Conclusion

Small wins do tell us that remain on track and not deviate. If you are a wage earner and the daily target falls short of expectations, at least you earned which is a step in the right direction. If you save put it right in there with the other savings. Sooner or later it compounds, and the joy of being a slow millionaire is sweeter and more valuable.
