The just concluded elections show that Nigeria's problem is the people of Nigeria and not the government because if you don't like something get rid of it and try another thing. We complained every day about bad governance and how they have brought nothing but pain to us but we are the ones that reelect them most times. I don't use to blame Nigerians for reelecting those bad leaders into power again because they inflate poverty on the masses and come with money to buy their vote but this year's election proved me wrong.
Shortage of naira was the game changer as no politicians were able to buy votes, they did not use the money to change so many people's minds but more than half of those people that voted still choose to reelect the same political party which made our situation worse. People did not vote based on who is competent for the office we voted based on their differences.

This year's election would have been the best in my country but we make it a tribal war and the problem of this country is beyond voting for the tribe, people are now voting based on emotions, and we let our emotions decide our future for us and instead of using our brain, we choose to remain in poverty rather than voting for a different tribe that would have changed our situation. Former elections are always determined by money spent but this time was a lack of education and orientation.
We have so many old illiterate in Nigeria that everything to them is always about the tribe, they don't care about growth or a better Nigeria. More than 50% of the population lack education and most of the things they believed in are not relevant again. We are in serious trouble and I believe the only way out for Nigeria now is to go out and orientate them because as long we are still together we must find a way to let people know that being a bigot will always make things worst.
This is the main reason why some people believe we can never see a better Nigeria because some set of people will always choose their tribe over a better Nigeria. This is a major problem in Nigeria
