The Bitcoin halving is approaching and as per tradition the Splinterlands team will create an ad hoc card to celebrate the event. We don't have much information on the statistics yet, there will be more details soon, it will probably be a neutral card, and it will be available in the legendary and rare versions. The halving card will not be found in any package in the future but will be purchasable only and exclusively during the event.
How to buy?
The team is organizing a great event, with prizes up for grabs for the most virtuous up to the top 200 buyers. The Legendary Promo Card will cost 31,250 (31.25k) DEC/DEC-B or 625 VOUCHER Tokens, while the Rare Promo Card will cost 3,125 (3.125k) DEC/DEC-B or 62.5 VOUCHER Tokens.
The card will be a unique collector's piece and I'm really curious to see a preview! The event will feature team rewards including packs, Runes, titles and more. The ranking will be organized based on the number of points obtained for purchases. In fact, players will earn points for each DEC/DEC-B/Voucher burned by purchasing promotional cards.
Every 10,000 (10k) points earned by a player will give them a chance to win one of the available prizes, and the players with the most total points at the end of the event will win the guaranteed leaderboard prizes. Players will receive 1 point for each DEC/DEC-B burned and 50 points for each Voucher burned
The event will last 30 days, there will be a points multiplier of x3 on the first day, which will decrease to x1 on the last day of the event. To get maximum points you will therefore have to be determined from the first day of the event. Here is the list of prizes made available by the team:
500 PLOT tokens
100 Alpha Packs
250 beta packs
500 wild packs
50 packs of essence spheres
100 packs of Azmare dice
20 NFT Runes
The main prizes of the ranking will be the following game titles:
1-10 - Legendary title "The Burninator".
11-60 - Epic title "The Incinerator".
61-200 - Rare title "The Scorcher".
The team also started a proposal to obtain funding from the DAO to promote the event ($200k). If the proposal passes, all DEC/DEC-B/VOUCHERS used will be automatically burned (an amount estimated by the team to be around 400k dollars), benefiting the entire community and enhancing the value of the SPS token (fewer DECs in circulation, more incentive for burning of SPS).
