Ruleset: Target Practice

Mana Cap: 46
Elements: Fire, Life, Dragon

In this ruleset, all Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability.
Players would usually put a harmless or magic monster with Shield, Void, Magic reflect, or Return fire in their position 2 since they have higher health and abilities that gives them durabilities or damage reflect.
This website even recommends it.

Summoner: Delwyn Dragonscale

Abilties:
All friendly monsters gain +1 magic damage

He is very powerful when combined with magic monsters. He can potentially add up to +6 magic damage output per round.

Delwyn Dragonscale

Pos 1 Monster: Exploding Dwarf

Abilities:
Blast - Does additional damage (equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up) to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster
Piercing - If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's Health
Retaliate - When hit with a Melee attack, Monsters with Retaliate have a 50% chance of attacking their attacker
Trample - When a Monster with Trample hits and kills its target, it will perform another attack on the next Monster on the enemy Team

Exploding Dwarf

For me, this is the best tank pos 1 monster medium mana games with Target Practice ruleset since it has a very high chance of doing a devastating attack + the high chance of utilizing the Retaliate ability since only melee monsters will attack him in the early rounds of this ruleset.
It can easily eliminate enemy monsters in one round if it gets lucky.

Pos 2 Monster: Almo Cambio

Abilities:
Immunity - This monster is immune to negative status effects.
Phase - Allows this monster to evade magic attack as well based on its evasion chance calculation.
Return fire - When hit with a Ranged attack, this monster will return reduced damage (equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up) back to their attacker
Magic reflect - When hit with a Magic attack, this monster will return reduced damage (equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up) back to their attacker

This monster can kill an enemy just by reflecting attacks.
Its high HP and speed makes it more durable in the battlefield.

Almo Cambio

Pos 3 Monster: Elemental Phoenix

Abilities:
Flying - Has an additional +25% chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability
Blast - Does additional damage (equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up) to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster
Magic reflect - When hit with a Magic attack, this monster will return reduced damage (equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up) back to their attacker
Dodge - Has an additional +25% chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.

Aside from its powerful damage output, it's also durable with at least 50% chance evading from Flying and Dodge abilities.

Elemental Phoenix

Pos 4 Monster: Gold Dragon

Heal - Restores 1/3 portion of this Monster's health each round

This monster also deals high damage output and is also durable with its Heal.

Gold Dragon

Pos 5 Monster: Chaos Dragon

Abilities:
Flying - Has an additional +25% chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability
Scattershot - This monster's attacks hit a random enemy target, ignoring even the enemy's Taunt ability
Blast - Does additional damage (equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up) to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster
Blind - gives +15% chance of evading from all enemy monsters. This debuff can be removed from the enemy monster by removing their blindfold. 🤣

Chaos Dragon

Chaos Dragon has high damage output plus a scattershot sometimes get lucky hitting the most vulnerable enemy monsters in their backline which definitely helps the team.
Blind also gives additional evasion chance to the monsters above.

It's definitely a good pick for any high mana games.

Pos 6 Monster: Shin-Lo

Abilities:
Sneak - Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the Pos 1 Monster

With mana, Shin-Lo can deal 3 magic damage when paired with Delwyn Dragonscale. It's too much damage for a 1 mana monster, what else can you ask for?

Shin-Lo

Did your strategy work?

Yes, I took the offensive play in this game to a high level. The high damage output of my Dragon monsters helped clear enemy lines faster.

What will you try differently next time?

I should have switched positions my Almo Cambio and Elemental Phoenix.
I know Exploding Dwarf is fragile and can die anytime soon.
When that happens, Elemental Phoenix will be in pos 1 where he can dodge almost all of enemy melee attacks.
Almo Cambio will be in pos 2 evading or reflecting magic and ranged attacks.

Do you like DRAGONS?

💯 This is my go-to element for high mana games.

Hope you learned something from my game and how I came up with this lineup.
What would you have differently given the same ruleset, mana cap and active elements? Let us know by dropping a comment.
