Web3 And Sports A Bull Run Just Starting?

Sports but more importantly sports betting is a very popular and increasingly huge way that people are interacting with each other. From individuals to groups of people sports betting on various aspects of games one of the hottest seasons is just about to start. The NFL or American Football where betting starts to go wild. In this article I'm going to go over web3 and sports could potentially be sitting on billions and mass adoption.

NFTs played a huge part in the last bull run from music, ticketing, art and more. It was one of the few pivotal factors that sent us into a massive bull run with bitcoin touching 70k and Ethereum touching 4k.

One of the biggest trends that seems to be taking off are what are known as dynamic NFTs which started to show their light of day about two years ago but never hooked. These NFTs allow for people to hold the NFT cards of their players and draft up fantasy teams of which the NFTs stats will change based on how players are performing in their games.

It's perfect for a trusted open ledger system of tournaments and a new way to interact with each other including new interactions with fans.

Take int considering the NBA's top shot that took off. These NFTs allow for people to buy snapshots of history of the best plays and own them pushing millions in sales.

The Metaverse also started to become a huge part of this but has since fallen through. The main factor of this that has caught on however is to interact sports branding into games. Fortnite showed us a clear example of the demand for this with skins of their favorite NFL teams.

These skins could be sold as NFTs and so far Epic games has been pretty on point with allowing crypto style games on their platform unlike others such as Steam. However these games go through a rather large test base to do their best to avoid scam games as there will always be the chance of that. But NFT wearables in games could be on of the biggest pushes allowing for players to own and maybe later trade or sell these skins on an open market.

By connecting web3 into this huge industry of sports betting and ownership we could also see it tap into the AR world (augmented reality) which we saw roll out big time with Vision Pro from apple. While this tech is currently expensive by the year 2030 we should see a massive wave of new adoption and smaller sized devices that are capable of the masses getting involved with it totally reshaping the way we interact in web 3 and ownership.

It also greatly feels that companies are pushing back against the slow and limbering US government that for some reason continues to want to try and stop this innovation and is what I believe the start of the massive shift where governments become less of a thing and instead corporations start controlling the world.
