Images are stored on IPFS ( If you are using the "+" button ) but you also have an option to host them yourself and then provide a url
How is it decentralized ?
unlike other frontends Terrive does not have a back end , users directly communicate with the hive nodes
IPFS image hosting , users are free to host the images themselves. I don't have access to Images hosted using terrive, they are anonymously uploaded using infura's http api
the website is hosted on IPFS
open source ( MIT ) so anyone can spin up their own version.
