Splinterlands is such a fantastic game and they keep on doing innovations from time to time. Recently they had announce that they will be distributing Soulbound cards in the game. This is not the first time when the team is taking this kind of initiative instead they do this kind of stuff quite often and this is something I like a lot. With this new type of card, players can use the card in the game but they will not be able to trade which means the selling pressure will reduce which is good for the entire gaming ecosystem.
What is a Soulbound card
This is the same type of card we have in the game which means we can play using the card in battles but these cards are not transferable. Each card is assigned to a particular account and there is no way that we can trade or exchange the card with anyone in the game. There is no impact if you are upgrading the card or playing in the battle because it will work the same way as other cards in the game.
What makes it better
I think this is a better way to distribute the reward because whoever is here for the long term will not be worried. I have been playing the game seems the beginning of my journey in Splinterlands and even I have been upgrading all my cards to level up. We know that if we hold high-level cards then we can earn better rewards in the game and it also makes us eligible to play in a higher league on the basis of collection power. For me, it's not a problem because I have no plan to sell the cards rather I am always interested to upgrade my cards to higher levels. Now since these cards are linked with my account so this makes the cart secure as well as reducing the selling pressure will add more value to overall cards in the game.
Cards will be tradable
These Soulbound cards are not tradable as of now but once the supply is exhausted the project will allow the user to trade in the market. As of now, it is not confirmed how much time it will take but I easily expect that the supply will last at least for 1 to 2 years. I am surprised to see that I got one of the legendary cards that hav a total circulation supply of 474. This is too less supply and I think that this can give a good value once the cards become tradable in the market in the meantime I am anyways going to use it for gameplay. Below are the cards I have in my collection as of now but this is just the beginning and I am expecting to receive more.
I am not sure how other players are taking it but in my opinion, this is a great initiative by the team to make the game more stable and encourage people who are here for the long term. I truly believe that this project is not for one day or 1 year instead it is here for the long term and we also need to follow the same strategy to make our account more valuable. While these cards are very helpful to grow the collection power which means we can easily move toward the higher League and it will make us eligible to grab better rewards.
All these arts come from the reward edition which means with each battle we have a slightly higher reward as compared to other cards. I check my account today and got to see that I have got a bunch of cards in my account. I did not know that the distribution has already started and I am so glad that these are already added to my card collection. needless to say that I will be upgrading all my cars to the higher levels and I will see how these cards can make my gameplay even better. Overall I like this and I hope to receive many more such cards so that I can upgrade and enjoy the game even more.
