If we look at all the issues that hive is facing, one of the most talked about is the onboarding problem. So much has been written and talked about it. It's great to wonder how we could improve it to bring more users to our blockchain; to increase the demand for our token and our dapps.
When speaking about onboarding a lot of people are seeing a top down concept where somebody makes marketing and at the end we get more users. It's certainly one solution but it's not the only one.
The Hive expansion, the answer to onboarding the masses?
During the last week, I've had the chance to witness something amazing. I've joined several crypto related platforms. What I've seen on these platforms is a Hive expansion.
On platforms like Lbry, Torum, Publish0x, noise.cash, the hive people are making a real difference.
Of course my vision might be slightly biased because of the fact that most of my friends and followers on these platforms are people from Hive. But I can't help to notice that these people make a huge difference and they are doing an amazing job to promote Hive to the crypto world.
What is so special about the Hivians on these platforms?
What I've found the most remarkable is that the Hivians transport the Hive culture to these platforms and they are massively successful with it.

Yes, there is a Hive culture and it has precise characteristics:
Hive people know how to create quality content
Writing a post with 400 words, a piece of cake for most of them. Write short meaningful messages, no problem. Writing good comments? One class above everybody else.
Hive people know how to engage
Instead of asking questions like „follow me“, „nice“, „wow“, Hive people actually know how to write quality comments. They know that if somebody leaves a meaningful comment on their posts, they will answer these comments. They know that it's necessary to listen in order to be heard.
Hive people help others
In a world where everybody is watching his own backyard or his own wallets, Hive people have been infused with the 50/50 reward split. If you profit, I profit as well. They know that you have to give in order to receive. They are happy when you are successful.
Hive people stick together
If two hivians meet on one of these platforms, there is a certain respect among them. From all the posts and comments that were exchanged, they actually know each other in some ways and their world is not full of anonymous people. In the Hive world, people have a voice, often a face and a history. We are all part of the same family.
For all these reasons, the Hive people are literally crashing it on these platforms. They link their Hive posts there and provide added value to these sites. In their posts they present hive, the dapps, the whole ecosystem. Each link and each post is an entry point to the hive ecosystem and I believe it's one of the best magnet to attract new users to our blockchain. People see these posts, they get curious, they research and some of them will join Hive.
