There is a Dutch song with the text "Later already started." The older you get the more you are aware of it.
From child number one on I worked hard and saved. I intended to give each child some savings. The savings my parents said they would give to their children - and my grandparents paid - and I never received.
It is good to have a little bit pocket money if you start your own life. Pocket money it will be at the time they grew up.
The costs for living are always way higher as expected. No matter how much you work the biggest part always goes to the taxes and unexpected expensives.
All the hard work brought me nothing. No name, no fame, no savings. It is kind of a relief the biggest part of my life is behind me and I live in my future already since 40 years. Soon there is no need for me to do anything any longer. I am looking forward to that.
