Netfix once again appeals to nostalgia and presents us with a new original series called "That's 90 show" yes, it's like a spin off of "That's 70 show", a sit com of situations in which they showed the life of a group of teenagers in the 70s. In and of themselves being series set in other eras makes them pretty interesting, but both enjoy being pretty fresh productions that you can watch at the end of the day and feel happy afterwards.

"That's 70's show": Premiered in 1998, it has 8 seasons and has earned a place in the hearts of a whole generation that grew up watching it, since 2006 was its last broadcast. It had several aspects that made it unique; such as its super rock intro of the time, incredible camera movements (used for the scenes when they smoked weed, something quite common in those years) and its way of showing conventional situations in an interesting and entertaining story.

All these characteristics are maintained in this new series "That's 90 show" and in this new audiovisual proposal we are introduced to Leia Forman the daughter of Eric and Donna who travel back to the suburbs of Wisconsin on vacation to visit Red and Kitty Forman (the now grandparents) only now we have a teenager desperate to be accepted and popular as the protagonist, who gives a twist to her life when she meets all this new group of teenagers who form the new cast.

The essence is maintained but at the same time it is presented to us in a renewed and very nineties style; the new version of the main theme "In the street" in grunge version (genre that reached popularity in the 90's), new more rock style of transitions where we can see the actors posing sticking out their tongues and making the hand gesture where they raise their little finger and index finger as a sign of rock, but there are also other things that remain as the mythical camera movement in the scenes where they gather in a circle with a lot of smoke (to the wise man, few words hahaha).

Something very cool is that the series has appearances of the original cast of "That's 70 show" (apart from the performances of Red and Kitty's characters) throughout its 10 episodes. The first to appear are Eric and Donna, then we get to see fez and our favorite toxic couple: Jackie and Kelso, played by the beautiful and stable couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. A fun fact is that Mila had her first kiss in the series, with her current husband, something that was a scandal when it was discovered that she lied with her father and was actually 14 years old at the time.

Even if you haven't seen the original series, it is recommended that you watch this one because the laughs are guaranteed, it has an 86% audience approval rating according to Google. It is quite digestible and fresh, especially because it is a short series of 10 episodes of approximately 30 minutes long.

So if you are sad, bored or just want to see something light, fresh and fun, I recommend you to watch it because it is one of those series that you watch as an adult and laugh when you realize how simple our problems were as a teenager.

Netfix una vez más apela a la nostalgia y nos presenta una nueva serie original llamada “That’s 90 show” sí, es como una espacie de spin off de “That’s 70 show”, una sit com de situaciones en la que mostraban la vida de un grupo de adolescentes de los años 70. De por sí que sean series ambientadas en otras épocas las hacen bastante interesantes, pero ambas gozan de ser producciones bastante frescas que puedes ver al final del día y sentirte feliz despues.

“That’s 70 show”: Estrenada en el 98, cuenta con 8 temporadas y se ha ganado un espacio en el corazón de toda una generacion que crecio viéndolos, ya que en el 2006 fue su última emisión. Tenia varios aspectos que la hacian única; como su intro super rockera de la época, movimientos de cámaras increíbles (que usaban para la escenas de cuando fumaban weed, algo bastante común en esos años) y su manera de mostrar situaciones convencionales en una historia interesante y entretenida.

Todas estas características se mantienen en esta nueva serie “That’s 90 show” y en esta nueva propuesta audiovisual nos presentan a Leia Forman la hija de Eric y Donna quienes viajan de regreso a los suburbios de Wisconsin de vacaciones a visitar a Red y Kitty Forman (los ahora abuelos) solo que en estos momentos tenemos a una adolescente desesperada con ser aceptada y popular como protagonista, quien le da un giro a su vida cuando conoce a todo este grupo nuevo de adolescentes quienes forman el nuevo elenco.

La esencia se mantiene pero a la vez nos la presentan de una manera renovada y muy al estilo de los noventa como; la nueva versión del tema principal “In the street” en versión grunge (género que alcanzó la popularidad en los 90), nuevo estilo mas rockero de transiciones donde podemos apreciar a los actores posando sacando la lengua y hacienda el gesto de las manos donde alzan el meñique y el dedo índice como señal de rock, pero también hay otras cosas que se mantienen como el mítico movimiento de cámara en las escenas donde se reunen en un círculo con mucho humo (al buen entendedor, pocas palabras jajaja).

Algo muy cool es que la serie cuenta con apariciones del elenco original de “That’s 70 show” (apartando las actuaciones de los personajes de Red y Kitty) a lo largo de sus 10 capítulos. Los primeros en aparecer son Eric y Donna, después podremos ver a fez y a nuestra pareja toxica favorita: Jackie y Kelso, interpretados por la pareja bella y estable de Ashton Kutcher y Mila Kunis. Un dato curioso es que Mila dió su primer beso en la serie, con quien es actualmente su esposo, algo que fue un escándalo cuando se descubrió que ella mintió con sue dad y que realmente tenia 14 años en ese momento.

Incluso aún así, no hayas visto la serie original, te recomienda que veas esta porque las risas están garantizadas, posee un porcentaje de aprobación del 86% del público según san Google. Es bastante digerible y fresca, sobretodo porque es una serie corta de 10 episodios de 30 minutos de duración aproximadamente.

Así que sí estás triste, aburrido o simplemente quieres ver algo ligero, fresco y divertido, te recomiendo que la veas porque es de esas series que uno ve de adulto y se ríe al darnos cuenta de lo sencillos que eran nuestros problemas en la adolescencia.
