This is the story of Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) a nerd who is really into video games, he became obsessed with the designer of the most famous video game from that time, the Oasis. In the Oasis you can do anything and be whatever you want to, that explains why the majority of people were playing it. Sadly the creator of this amazing video game died, but with his death comes a challenge that changed everything. Players have to find tree hidden keys and the player who find them all will be the new owner of the Oasis. Since this was announced, a huge company directed by a business man Nolan Sorento, who is planing to win that challenge at any cost to take control of the Oasis. Who will find the hidden keys? Who will be the new owner of the Oasis?

Esta es la historia de Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) un chico nerd al que le gustan mucho los videojuegos, se obsesiona con el diseñador del videojuego más famoso del momento, el Oasis. En el Oasis puedes hacer cualquier cosa y ser lo que quieras, eso explica porque la mayoría de la gente jugaba ese juego. Lamentablemente el creador de este increíble videojuego murió, pero con su muerte llega un reto que lo cambió todo. Los jugadores tienen que encontrar tres llaves ocultas y el jugador que las encuentre todas será el nuevo dueño del Oasis. Desde que ese hecho se dio a conocer, una enorme empresa dirigida por un empresario de Nolan Sorento, quien está planeando ganar ese desafío a cualquier costo, para así tomar el control del Oasis. ¿Quién encontrará las llaves ocultas? ¿Y quién será el nuevo dueño del Oasis?

Wade live with his aunt who is a woman with very bad taste in men, all of them are a piece of work, so his real life is pathetic to say the least, that's why he spend most of his time playing in the Oasis as the majority of people. Not only kids play this amazing game, there are people who practically have their lives there, it has scenes where you can easy see what am I talking about.

Wade vive con su tía que es una mujer con muy mal gusto para los hombres, todos ellos son un pedazo de basura, por lo que su vida real es patética por decir lo menos, por eso pasa la mayor parte de su tiempo jugando en el Oasis como la mayoría de la gente. No sólo los niños juegan a este increíble juego, hay personas que prácticamente tiene su vida allí, tiene escenas en las que se puede ver fácilmente de lo que estoy hablando.

This story is based on a novel with the same name written by Ernets Cline, I can't say if it was an excellent adaptation because I never read the book, in fact I just found out about it, and I'm definitely going to read it. It also looks like there is a sequel, which I have no idea about because the movie has an excellent ending, there are no loose ends, so for sure the sequel, maybe it's someone else's story or the maybe the continuation? I'm not really sure, but from what I saw in the first one, I would prefer someone else's story to be told.

Esta historia esta basada en una novela con el mismo nombre escrita por Ernets Cline, no puedo decir si fue una excelente adaptación porque jamás leí el libro, de hecho acabo de enterarme de eso, y definitivamente voy a leerlo. También parece que hay una segunda parte, de la cual no tengo idea, porque la película tiene un excelente final y no queda ningún cabo suelto, así que seguro la segunda parte, puede que sea la historia de alguien más o ¿la continuación? La verdad no estoy seguro, pero por lo que vi en la primera, preferiría que se contara la historia de alguien más.

You can say that this movie is for true gamers, it was thought and made for connoisseurs of video games, Japanese series, horror movies and so on. There is a great variety of characters that you can see here, most of them you only see it briefly but if you share a taste for video games and the other things I mentioned, you will definitely enjoy this movie a lot more, 'cause if you are a fan of any of those characters or if you just know them, those moments that appear will be worth gold, as in my case.

Se puede decir que esta película es para verdaderos gamers, fue pensada y hecha para conocedores de video juegos, series japonesas, de películas de terror y demás. Hay una gran variedad de personajes que puedes ver acá, a la mayoría solo los ves brevemente pero si compartes el gusto por los juegos de video y las demás cosas que comenté, definitivamente disfrutarás de esta película muchísimo más, porque si eres un fan de cualquiera de esos personajes o si tan solo los conoces, esos instantes que aparecen valdrán oro, como en mi caso.

I don't mean by this that if you are not a gamer you won't be able to enjoy the movie, of course you will, the story is pretty solid, it makes a lot of sense and is very entertaining, you don't have to be a connoisseur to like it or understand it, but definitely if you have some knowledge the experience will be totally different, in the best way.

No quiero decir con esto que si no eres un gamer no serás capaz de disfrutar la película, por su puesto que sí, la historia es bastante sólida, tiene mucho sentido y es muy entretenida, no tienes que ser un conocedor para que te guste o la entiendas, pero definitivamente si tienes algo de conocimiento la experiencia será totalmente diferente, en el mejor de los sentidos.

This movie is excellently made, the whole video game part was amazing, very creative and visually very appealing. One of the scenes I enjoyed the most was the car race, although honestly I'm not a fan of games of this type but I found the idea of playing a racing game in that plan entertaining, where you can shoot and destroy the other, plus the circuit itself was very challenging, plus all the incredible obstacles that appear as you go along, I thought it was very well done.

Esta película está excelentemente hecha, toda la parte del video juego fue increíble muy creativo y visualmente muy atractivo. Una de las escenas que más disfruté fue la carrera de autos, aunque honestamente no soy fan de los juegos de este tipo me pareció muy divertida la idea de jugar un juego de carreras en ese plan, donde puedes disparar y destruir al otro, además de que el circuito en sí era muy desafiante, además de todos los increíbles obstáculos que van apareciendo a medida que avanzan, me pareció muy bien logrado.

It's a very well directed film, I even thought the transitions between reality and fiction were good, and although I didn't know any of the main characters, but none of them really, I thought they all did well, although in reality they did more of a dubbing job than acting, because most of the story takes place inside the Oasis, so the acting scenes are not so many, even so I liked the performance of each one, and the great thing is that when I saw them I knew who each one was, because they have a certain resemblance to their avatars.

Es un filme muy bien dirigido incluso me pareció que las transiciones entre la realidad y la ficción estuvieron bien, y aunque no conocía a ninguno de los protagonista, pero a ninguno en serio, me pareció que todos lo hicieron bien, aunque en realidad hicieron más un trabajo de doblaje que actoral, porque la mayoría de la historia se desarrolla dentro del Oasis, así que las escenas de actuaciones no son tantas, aun así me gustó la actuación de cada uno, y lo genial es que al verlos supe quien era cada quien, porque tienen cierto parecido con sus avatares.

side of video games where your friend or playmates who you may consider your best friends, may be the opposite of what their character or avatar represents, clearly a custom character shows our tastes and part of who we are or what we would like to be, but that does not mean that through an avatar you can know a person, that was very clear in this film and I loved that they highlighted that.

Me gustó el hecho de que mostrarán ese lado de los video juegos donde tu amigo o compañeros de juegos a los cuales puedes llegar a considerar tus mejores amigos, pueden que sean lo opuesto a lo que su personaje o avatar representa, claramente un personaje personalizado muestra nuestros gustos y parte de quien somos o de lo que nos gustaría ser, pero eso no quiere decir que a través de un avatar puedes conocer a una persona, eso quedó clarísimo en esta película y me encantó que resaltarán eso.

It's a film that shows that sometimes life can be so scary that it's better to be inside a video game, but at the same time it lets us see that doing that is like escaping from reality and that the real world should also be enjoyed, and that no matter how great you are in a video game, you should live your life in the real world, because just as there are things that we cannot do in the real world, there are also things that even in a virtual reality game (in which you are totally immersed) you would not feel, nor would you enjoy the same.

Es una película que muestra que a veces la vida puede ser tan aterradora que es mejor estar dentro de un juego de video, pero a la vez nos deja ver que hacer eso es como escapar de la realidad y que el mundo real también se debe disfrutar, y que sin importar que tan grande seas en un video juego, debes vivir tu vida en el mundo real, porque así como hay cosas que no podemos hacer en el mundo real, también hay cosas que ni en un juego de realidad virtual (en el que estás totalmente inmerso) se sentiría, ni se disfrutaría igual.
