Personally, I am not a person who currently consumes or enjoys watching television channels, I think that several platforms currently through the internet, satisfy that demand for most of us, but if there was a distant time in which I enjoyed watching television, channels like Cartoon Network or Animal Planet and Discovery channel, were my most common means of distraction.
At the time Cartoon Network on a creative level was not too bad, shows like Adventure Time as well as Gumball's Incredible World, were good serious shows that covered the entertainment margin. However I remember not a series as such but rather a mini-series, which I liked a lot at the time and now I had the opportunity to watch it and download it, I think it is one of the best works that Cartoon Network has done to date, so today I would like to talk about Over the garden wall.
En lo personal, actualmente no soy una persona que consume o disfruta de ver canales televisivos, pienso que varias plataformas actualmente por medio del internet, satisfacen esa demanda para la mayoría de nosotros, pero si hubo un tiempo distante en el cual disfrutaba mucho de ver la televisión, canales como Cartoon Network o Animal Planet y Discovery channel, eran mi medio de distracción mas común.
En su momento Cartoon Network a nivel creativo no estaba tan mal, programas como Hora de Aventura así como el increíble mundo de Gumball, eran buenas serias que cubrían el margen de entretenimiento. Sin embargo recuerdo no una serie como tal si no más bien una mini serie, que me gusto muchísimo en su momento y actualmente tuve la oportunidad de verla y descargármela, pienso que es uno de los mejores trabajos que ha hecho Cartoon Network hasta la fecha, asi que hoy me gustaría hablarles de Over the garden wall.

Over The Garden Wall is a mini series, produced by Cartoon Network in 2014, created by Patrick McHale, who had the opportunity to work on this mini series after being the artist and writer of "Story board" of the well-known series "The wonderful misadventures of Flack Jack" presenting some similarity in some patterns of both works, as the mysterious scenarios and unusual characters and to some extent very extravagant.

Over The Garden Wall es una mini serie, producida por Cartoon Netwoork en el año del 2014, creada por Patrick McHale, el cual tuvo la oportunidad de trabajar en esta miniserie después, de ser el artista y escritor de "Story board" de la conocida serie "Las maravillosas desventuras de Flack Jack" presentando cierta similitud en algunos patrones de ambas obras, como lo escenarios misteriosos y personajes inusuales y hasta cierto punto muy extravagantes.
Es la primera mini serie tomada por completa seriedad por Cartoon Network, con un total de 10 capítulos por 11 minutos de duración, presentando un final o conclusión de la misma. Otra excepción a esto sería la mini serie o saga de "Clone Wars" del 2003, fuera de esto los otros productos terminaban inconclusos o se dejaban de lado como el show de Aquaman y sus amigos o malo con carne.
Synopsis / Sinopsis
The plot begins, with our protagonists Wirt and Greg and his frog, two little brothers who are completely lost in a forest called (the unknown) and are trying, to return home. The plot is very simple at first, but believe me, the background is much more significant and bigger than you think, since our protagonists notice as they continue their journey, that the environment in which they find themselves is very different with nuances that naturally, are not at all normal and even disconcerting in many ways.
La trama comienza, con nuestros protagonistas Wirt y Greg y su rana, dos pequeños hermanos que se encuentran completamente perdidos en un bosque llamado (lo desconocido) y están intentando, regresar a su hogar. Así es la trama se presenta a primera instancia muy simple, pero créanme que el trasfondo que cobra la misma es mucho más significativo y mayor de lo creen, ya que nuestros protagonistas notan a medida de que continúan su travesía, que el entorno en el que se encuentran es muy diferente con matices que naturalmente, no son para nada normales y hasta desconcertantes es muchísimos sentidos.
Personal opinion / Opinión personal
Personally, I really like how the series deals with delicate and interesting subjects in a very deep way, at first instance it catches you with a very unusual aesthetic that borders on fear, mystery and ignorance. There are several occasions in which I felt a little uncomfortable because of the situations they were going through, and believe me there are few serials that have made me feel that, despite being a mini series for all audiences it really knows how to reach its audience in one way or another, of course if you are perceptive and detailed enough to notice the symbolism and have a broader idea of what may be really going on.
Another aspect I like is that within its macabre and mysterious style, there are moments of humor and laughter, serving in this case Greg (the younger brother) as a source of relief in that sense thanks to his charisma and kindness, I admit that they knew how to play very well with those details in the plot, the development that shows Dirt (the older brother) is incredible and quite satisfying, the various experiences make him rethink his situation and his behavior and mature not only for himself but for his brother and those he cares about.
The secondary characters mixed with the environment in each respective area, adding that aspect of mystery is satisfying to see, each secondary character has a unique character that makes it very distinctive to others in some way, the weight of his personality, mainly the villain of the series is beautiful, showing a very well marked idea to the mystery and terror that represents him as well as his ideals, with a narrative depth that the viewer will have to discover, without a doubt is one of the best mini series created by Cartoon Network to date, and only with a duration time of 10 minutes for each incredible chapter.
En lo personal, me gusta mucho como la seria aborda temas delicados eh interesantes de una manera muy profunda, a primera instancia te atrapa con una estética bastante inusual que raya en el miedo, el misterio y el desconocimiento. Hay varias ocasiones en las cuales me sentí un tanto incomodo por las situaciones que atravesaban, y créanme que hay pocas serias que me han hecho sentir eso, a pesar de ser una mini serie para todo público sabe realmente como llegar de una u otra forma a su audiencia, claro si eres lo suficientemente perceptivo y detallista como para notar el simbolismo y tener una idea más amplia de lo que puede estar pasando realmente.
Otro aspecto que me gusta es que dentro de su estilo macabro y misterioso, hay momentos de humor y risas, sirviendo en este caso Greg (el hermano menor) como una fuente de alivio en ese sentido gracias a su carisma y su bondad, admito que supieron jugar muy bien con esos detalles en la trama, el desarrollo que muestra Dirt (el hermano mayor) es increíble y bastante satisfactorio, las diversas experiencias le hacen replantear su situación y su conducta y madurar no solo para el si no por su hermano y aquellos que le importa.
Los personajes secundarios mesclados con el ambiente en cada respectiva área, agregándole ese aspecto de misterio es satisfactorio de ver, cada personaje secundario tiene un carácter único que lo hace muy distintivos ante otros de alguna forma, el peso de su personalidad, principalmente el del villano de la serie es bellísimo, mostrando una idea muy bien marcada al misterio y el terror que lo representa así como sus ideales, con una profundidad narrativa que el espectador tendrá que descubrir, sin lugar a dudas es una de las mejores mini series creadas por Cartoon Network hasta la fecha, y solo con un tiempo de duración de 10 minutos por cada capitulo increíble.
