Tras ver The little things y leer en repetidas ocasiones que era un intento de recrear Se7en, me interesó y como no la había visto, @jcrodriguez me instó a dejar todo lo que estaba haciendo y verla de inmediato. Después de verla, solo puedo agradecerte por casi obligarme a hacerlo, querido amigo.
Hello dear Hivers! This time I bring you my opinion on a cult movie from '95 starring Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow. After watching The little things and reading repeatedly that it was an attempt to recreate Se7en, I was interested and @jcrodriguez urged me to drop everything I was doing and watch it immediately. David Fincher, an American director who did not know who he was or if I had seen any of his films (and yes, I saw The girl with the dragon tattoo and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), is the mastermind behind this incredible work of art. In this thriller-drama we will see how detectives Somerset and Mills are assigned to the possible murder of an excessively fat man, only to discover that this is only the first of several murders that refer to the seven deadly sins.

Si aún no han visto esta película, desde ya les recomiendo que la vean porque se están perdiendo de una verdadera joya del cine, que removerá en lo más fondo de sus corazones emociones que puedan tener escondidas y les hará pasar momentos de tensión, intriga y dolor.

🗣 Opiniones/Opinions 🗣
Se7en empieza muy fuerte, con un intro plagado de detalles importantes que obtendrán sentido y serán relevantes al final de la película. Se nota que se tomaron su tiempo y es uno de los intros que más he disfrutado en la actualidad. Por la fecha de estreno de la película, veremos a unos jóvenes Morgan Freeman (Det. Somerset), Brad Pitt (Det. Mills) y Gwyneth Paltrow (Tracy Mills) quien actúan de una manera muy sobresaliente. En sus caras se refleja la alegría, dudas y tristezas de una manera tan genuina, que nos hacen pensar que más que una actuación, se sienten así realmente.
Se7en starts off strong, with an intro full of important details that will make sense and be relevant at the end of the film. You can tell that they took their time and it is one of the intros that I have enjoyed the most lately. For the release date of the film, we will see young Morgan Freeman (Det. Somerset), Brad Pitt (Det. Mills) and Gwyneth Paltrow (Tracy Mills) who act in a very outstanding way. Their faces reflect the joy, doubts and sadness in such a genuine way, that they make us think that more than a performance, they really feel that way.

La banda sonora que ambienta las escenas es excelente, igual que todo el trabajo del set y camarógrafo. Todo sumó a que esta película haya sido tan destacada y sorprendente en estos 26 años que tiene la película (igual que yo).
The soundtrack that sets the scenes is excellent, as is all the work on the set and cameraman. It all added to the fact that this film has been so outstanding and surprising in these 26 years that the film has (just like me).

La historia es extremadamente interesante, en ningún momento te aburre porque te mantiene pensando quién podría ser el asesino y cómo podrán descubrirlo Somerset y Mills. Veremos cómo caen en el juego que les plantea el homicida desconocido y los va llevando asesinato tras asesinato pero sin dejar pistas de quién puede ser. El trabajo del escritor fue muy bueno porque en ningún momento se sienten bajones en la tensión y siempre hay detalles que nos ayudarán a entender un poco mejor qué es lo que está pasando.
The story is extremely interesting, at no point it bores you because it keeps you wondering who the murderer might be and how Somerset and Mills might find out. We will see how they fall into the game posed by the unknown murderer and is leading murder after murder but without leaving clues of who it may be. The writer's work was very good because at no time do they feel dips in tension and there are always details that will help us understand a little better what is happening.

En cuanto al antagonista, de quien poco se sabe hasta el final, supera cualquier expectativa que podamos tener. Es metódico, inteligente y siempre va uno o dos pasos delante de los detectives. Sabremos qué lo motivó a asesinar y si de verdad es solo un loco como se cree, o si por el contrario está consciente de absolutamente todo lo que hace. Siempre he pensado que las películas donde hay crímenes, serán mejores o peores dependiendo no de los detectives, sino del criminal. En este caso, el homicida es grandioso y aporta muchísimo al éxito que tiene este film.
As for the antagonist, of whom little is known until the end, he exceeds any expectations we may have. He's methodical, smart, and always takes a step or two ahead of detectives. We will know what motivated him to murder and if he really is just a madman as he thinks he is, or if on the contrary he is aware of absolutely everything he does. I have always thought that movies where there are crimes will be better or worse depending not on the detectives, but on the criminal. In this case, the murderer is great and contributes a lot to the success of this film.

Me faltarán elogios para esta película, es una de las mejores que he visto en mi vida. El final es algo de otro mundo, totalmente inesperado y revienta cabezas. Aquí ponen a prueba la capacidad de asombro del espectador asesinato tras asesinato, y ya cuando pensabas que no podía ser mejor, te llevan a un punto donde te sueltan la cereza del pastel y terminas con los sesos regados en la habitación.
I will lack praise for this film, it is one of the best I have seen in my life. The ending is something from another world, totally unexpected and head-busting. Here they test the capacity for astonishment of the spectator murder after murder, and when you thought it couldn't be better, they take you to a point where they drop the icing on the cake and you end up with your brains scattered in the room.

Otro rostro familiar que vemos en la película es Kevin Spacey, quien trabajó en House of Cards con Fincher también. Este actor siempre me ha gustado haciendo a un lado toda la controversia que ha existido a su alrededor estos últimos años, y su actuación le brinda a su personaje una profundidad que se disfruta mucho. Su calma en todo momento, forma de explicar las cosas y las acciones que realiza le sientan muy bien a su personaje. Otra película donde el trabajo de casting fue impecable.
Another familiar face we see in the movie is Kevin Spacey, who worked on House of Cards with Fincher as well. I have always liked this actor putting aside all the controversy that has existed around him in recent years, and his performance gives his character a depth that is very much enjoyed. His calm at all times, way of explaining things and the actions he performs feel very good to his character. Another movie where the casting work was impeccable.
