¡Saludos, queridos Hivers! Hoy les comentaré a rasgos generales sobre el primer episodio de What if...? una serie animada basada en los héroes del universo Marvel que tiene una premisa bastante interesante e intuyo que busca darle un poco de frescura a los mismos héroes de siempre, y quizás crear material más adelante sobre los acontecimientos que veremos a lo largo de estos diez capítulos.

  Greetings, dear Hivers! Today I will tell you in general terms about the first episode of What if...? an animated series based on the heroes of the Marvel universe that has a very interesting premise and I suspect that it seeks to give a bit of freshness to the heroes themselves as usual, and perhaps create material later on about the events that we will see throughout these ten chapters.

  What if...? es una serie animada creada por A.C. Bradley, basada en la serie de Marvel homónima. En esta serie veremos qué pasaría si los eventos principales en la historia de los héroes principales de Marvel (Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, etc) hay un ligero cambio y cómo podrá afectar al desenvolvimiento de la historia.

  Será emitida semanalmente desde el 11 de agosto hasta el 13 de octubre a través de la plataforma de streaming Disney+, por lo que la primera temporada contará con 10 episodios.

  La serie cuenta con las voces originales de los héroes (Chris Evans para Steve Rodgers, Chris Hemsworth para Thor), aunque me queda la duda de la voz del Rey Tchalla, Chadwick Boseman, quien sabemos falleció hace casi un año, y no sé si esta serie está grabada desde hace tanto. Además de los problemas de Scarlett Johansson con Disney, supongo que su voz si será la de Natasha o Black Widow, ya que los problemas son muy recientes.

🗣 Opiniones/Opinions 🗣

  En lo personal, el hacer una serie paralela a los acontecimientos que todos conocemos del universo Marvel, me parece súper interesante. En este caso, vemos específicamente qué pasaría si en el momento en que Steve Rodgers iba a ser inoculado con el suero para hacerlo un súper soldado, algo sale mal y de ahí en adelante la historia es muy diferente.

  Mucho se ha visto en redes de que el Capitán América en What if...? no existe, sino que en su lugar vemos a una mujer con un traje y escudos similares, pero haciendo alusión a Gran Bretaña, y con rasgos muy parecidos a Peggy Carter, el amor platónico de Steve. ¿Qué habrá sucedido ese día, que impidió que a Steve le aplicaran el suero? Eso lo veremos en el primer episodio de la serie.

  Dos cosas que me parecen muy interesantes también, es que usan un estilo de animación diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados pero está muy bueno; además de la decisión de que las historias nos sean narradas, en su inicio y conclusión, por The Watcher, un ser que ve todo lo que sucede en la galaxia, y ¿quién mejor que él para llevarnos a través de las diferentes realidades y explorar los diferentes escenarios posibles?

  Personally, making a series parallel to the events that we all know of the Marvel universe, I find it super interesting. In this case, we see specifically what would happen if at the time Steve Rodgers was going to be inoculated with the serum to make him a super soldier, something goes wrong and from then on the story is very different.

  Much has been seen in networks that Captain America in What if ...? does not exist, but instead we see a woman with a similar suit and shields, but alluding to Great Britain, and with traits very similar to Peggy Carter, Steve's crush. What happened that day that prevented Steve from getting the serum? We will see that in the first episode of the series.

  Two things that also seem very interesting to me, is that they use a different animation style than what we are used to, but it is very good; In addition to the decision that the stories be told to us, at their beginning and end, by The Watcher, a being who sees everything that happens in the galaxy, and who better than him to take us through the different realities and explore the different possible scenarios?

🗣 Comentarios finales/Final comments 🗣

  El primer episodio me pareció muy bueno y se ve claramente que la serie promete, y mucho. El siguiente capítulo no sé sobre quién será, pero intuyo que será sobre el otro héroe principal, quien tuvo una pequeña rivalidad con Steve: Iron Man. Ese episodio se estrenará el 18 de agosto y lo espero con ansias.

  Esto parece una película de hors y media o dos horas, resumida en 30 minutos pero que nunca aburre y ataca directamente a los puntos más importantes de las películas principales. Me encantó el concepto y, además, que los personajes tengan las voces originales de los súper héroes.

  Depende de lo rentable que les sea, estoy seguro que estudiarán el hacer más temporadas porque sabemos cómo es Marvel y Disney de prolífico con sus producciones.

  The first episode seemed very good to me and it is clear that the series promises a lot. The next chapter I don't know about who it will be, but I suspect it will be about the other main hero, who had a little rivalry with Steve: Iron Man. That episode will premiere on August 18 and I am looking forward to it.

  This looks like a movie of hours and a half or two hours, summarized in 30 minutes but never boring and directly attacks the most important points of the main films. I loved the concept and also that the characters have the original voices of the superheroes.

  It depends on how profitable it is, I am sure that they will study making more seasons because we know how prolific Marvel and Disney are with their productions.
