So, I finally got to see the movie, I had been telling myself I would see it, but I have never created the time for it. The movie completely exeeded my expectations, for a family movie, they did a great job. I feel the movie is a perfect legacy for the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise whilst being it's own separate thing from the games.

Entonces, finalmente pude ver la película, me había estado diciendo a mí mismo que la vería, pero nunca creé el tiempo para ella. La película superó por completo mis expectativas, para una película familiar, hicieron un gran trabajo. Siento que la película es un legado perfecto para la franquicia Sonic The Hedgehog, aunque es algo propio y separado de los juegos.

Sonic The Hedgehog is a 2020 action-adventure comedy film based on the sonic video game franchise published by SEGA. The movie was directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller. The movie stars James Marsden (as Tom), Ben Schwartz (voiced as Sonic), Tika Sumpter (as Maddie), and Jim Carrey (as Dr. Robotnik).

Sonic The Hedgehog es una película de comedia de acción y aventuras de 2020 basada en la franquicia de videojuegos de Sonic publicada por SEGA. La película fue dirigida por Jeff Fowler y escrita por Pat Casey y Josh Miller. La película está protagonizada por James Marsden (como Tom), Ben Schwartz (con la voz de Sonic), Tika Sumpter (como Maddie) y Jim Carrey (como el Dr. Robotnik).

STORYLINE / HISTORIA

The storyline of Sonic The Hedgehog is very straight forward and a simple one. Sonic came to Earth and because he was hiding his powers, after been sent there by his Owl guardian. Sonic noticed how lonely he was, and got really angry, he knock the city power off because he went super fast with its speed. In other to know what the problem was, the government called and exterminator named Dr. Robotnik. With the help of Tom Wachowski, Sonic was able to stop Robotnik from haunting him down and find his way to his new home.

La historia de Sonic The Hedgehog es muy directa y sencilla. Sonic vino a la Tierra y debido a que estaba ocultando sus poderes, después de haber sido enviado allí por su guardián Búho. Sonic notó lo solo que estaba y se enojó mucho, cortó la energía de la ciudad porque fue súper rápido con su velocidad. En otro para saber cuál era el problema, el gobierno llamó a un exterminador llamado Dr. Robotnik. Con la ayuda de Tom Wachowski, Sonic pudo evitar que Robotnik lo persiguiera y encontrara el camino a su nuevo hogar.

CHARACTERS / CARACTERES

Sonic keeps a lot of his snarky yet charming personality from the games, just smoothed down and refined for his big screen debut. Jim Carrey did a great job as Dr. Robotnik, really felt like a 90's Jim Carrey Movie when he was in action and it goes to show that he has never really lost his edge and has only gotten sharper and even more funnier over time. Tom Wachowski (Played by James Marsden) is a good character with his own personal problems that helped to create relatability with Sonic in some aspects of the plot. Maddie Wachowski (played by Tika Sumpter) is a fun character who works well with Tom, I feel both characters were well executed as couples, they complimented each others performance. Ben Schwartz (voice as Sonic) suits Sonic very well, I wasn't surprise in that area, since he is already an experienced voice actor. Ben did a great job portraying a cocky 15 year old hedgehog.

Sonic mantiene gran parte de su personalidad sarcástica pero encantadora de los juegos, simplemente suavizada y refinada para su debut en la pantalla grande. Jim Carrey hizo un gran trabajo como Dr. Robotnik, realmente se sintió como una película de Jim Carrey de los 90 cuando estaba en acción y demuestra que nunca ha perdido su ventaja y solo se ha vuelto más nítido e incluso más divertido con el tiempo. Tom Wachowski (interpretado por James Marsden) es un buen personaje con sus propios problemas personales que ayudaron a crear una relación con Sonic en algunos aspectos de la trama. Maddie Wachowski (interpretada por Tika Sumpter) es un personaje divertido que trabaja bien con Tom, siento que ambos personajes fueron bien ejecutados como parejas, se felicitaron por la actuación del otro. Ben Schwartz (voz de Sonic) encaja muy bien con Sonic, no me sorprendió en ese aspecto, ya que él ya es un actor de doblaje experimentado. Ben hizo un gran trabajo interpretando a un engreído erizo de 15 años.

ACTION-VISUALS-SOUNDTRACKS / ACCIÓN-VISUALES-BANDAS SONORAS

The visuals for me is a 100%, it brings sonic to life. I mean, if you grow up with a SEGA videogame like myself and you did play the Sonic Videogame, you would agree with me when I say he looks exactly like his game counterpart. The action for me was stunning. One of my favourite action moment was the fight scene in the bar, it was just so amazing, you should see me cracking myself up while Sonic was doing the Quicksilver thing, just so nice. Also, the car fight, where Dr. Robotnik tears apart Tom's truck while trying to capture him and Sonic. The future sequel, which they are already working on, should produce more interesting action scenes. I really hope it has more action scenes. I loved the fact that they didn't make the CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery) so obvious in the movie, like that made each action scene look real enough in the big screen.
Soundtracks for me were properly used, like each action scene going well with the right soundtrack. I love the soundtrack that was played when Dr. Robotnik was doing his research about Sonics ability, that track was just so wild and amazing. Every soundtrack in the movie tells the story that, that scene was trying to tell. Good Job.

Las imágenes para mí son 100%, le dan vida al sonido. Quiero decir, si creces con un videojuego de SEGA como yo y jugaste al Sonic Videogame, estarías de acuerdo conmigo cuando digo que se ve exactamente como su contraparte del juego. La acción para mí fue impresionante. Uno de mis momentos de acción favoritos fue la escena de la pelea en el bar, fue tan increíble, deberías verme riéndome mientras Sonic estaba haciendo lo de Quicksilver, tan agradable. Además, la pelea de autos, donde el Dr. Robotnik destroza el camión de Tom mientras intenta capturarlo a él y a Sonic. La futura secuela, en la que ya están trabajando, debería producir escenas de acción más interesantes. Realmente espero que tenga más escenas de acción. Me encantó el hecho de que no hicieran que las CGI (imágenes generadas por computadora) fueran tan obvias en la película, de esa manera hacía que cada escena de acción pareciera lo suficientemente real en la pantalla grande. Para mí, las bandas sonoras se usaron correctamente, como si cada escena de acción fuera bien con la banda sonora correcta. Me encanta la banda sonora que se puso cuando Dr. Robotnik estaba investigando sobre la habilidad de Sonics, esa pista era tan salvaje y sorprendente. Cada banda sonora de la película cuenta la historia que esa escena estaba tratando de contar. Buen trabajo.

OVERVIEW-RATING / RESUMEN-CALIFICACIÓN

Personally, the movie was funny, heartwarming and surprising too. Sonic The Hedgehog is a very good and interesting movie and I highly recommend this movie to any video game fan. So, for me, it's one of the best video game movies of all time, find time to see the movie, it's really lovely.

So, if I will rate the movie, because of its amazing graphics and sound tracks, good storyline and well executed too also, because it's a movie I feel anyone who enjoy a good laugh will love, I am rating Sonic The Hedgehog 9.0/10. Well, I am keeping 1.0 of the rating for the next sequel under this franchise, if they deliver, they are so getting a 10 from me.

Personalmente, la película fue divertida, conmovedora y sorprendente también. ** Sonic The Hedgehog ** es una película muy buena e interesante y recomiendo esta película a cualquier fanático de los videojuegos.
