Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un post de miedito, en el cual les hablaré de 5 películas de terror que genuinamente me asustaron mucho. Realmente soy la persona más miedosa del mundo cuando se trata de películas así, ya que la tensión de estas películas me ponen mal y los screamers siempre me toman por sorpresa. Quise evitar películas que trataran de fobias que tengo ya que evidentemente serán horribles para mí, como It, ya que le tengo fobia a los payasos. Sin embargo, estas películas poseen tramas, escenografías y actuaciones que hacen que se sienta el genuino terror que se quiere transmitir. También los espectros, monstruos o fantasmas que tratan de mostrar en estas películas se quedaron en mi cerebro por varios días, causándome pesadillas. Estoy muy segura que muchos de lo que leerán esto no serán miedosos (o por lo menos, en menor medida) como yo y podrán llegar a disfrutar de estas películas si les gusta el género del terror. Hello again! Today I come to you with a scary post, in which I will tell you about 5 horror movies that genuinely scared the crap out of me. I really am the scariest person in the world when it comes to movies like this, as the tension in these movies make me sick and screamers always take me by surprise. I wanted to avoid movies that dealt with phobias I have since they will obviously be horrible for me, like It, since I have a phobia of clowns. However, these movies have plots, set designs and performances that make you feel the genuine terror they want to convey. Also the specters, monsters or ghosts that they try to show in these movies stayed in my brain for several days, causing me nightmares. I am very sure that many of you reading this will not be fearful (or at least, to a lesser extent) like me and will be able to enjoy these movies if you like the horror genre. Let's go!

Esta película japonesa cuenta con bastantes secuelas, sin embargo me quedo con la primera porque fue la primera y última que vi porque la verdad me dio miedo. La historia trata de una maldición que ocurrió después de que un hombre asesinara a su esposa Kayako e hijo Toshio en su propia casa. Esto ocasiona que se genere una maldición en la cual cualquiera que toca esa casa es asesinado o poseído por Kayako y Toshio, los cuales no tienen compasión con nadie. La película se centra en varios personajes con distintas historias pero que tienen algo en común: entrar en contacto con la casa. La película personalmente me asustó por la eterna tensión que tiene, además de ser algo gráfica y tener muchos screamers que te toman por sorpresa. Es una película que recomiendo mucho si les gusta el género del terror, ya que muchas cosas se quedan en tu mente después de ello, como el "craqueteo de la muerte" el cual es el sonido que hace la madre antes de hacer sus actos macabros. Realmente una buena película de miedo que cumple su cometido.
This Japanese movie has many sequels, however I'll keep the first one because it was the first and last one I saw because it really scared me. The story is about a curse that happened after a man murdered his wife Kayako and son Toshio in his own house. This causes a curse to be generated in which anyone who touches that house is killed or possessed by Kayako and Toshio, who have no mercy on anyone. The movie focuses on several characters with different stories but they have one thing in common: coming in contact with the house. The movie personally scared me because of the eternal tension it has, besides being somewhat graphic and having a lot of screamers that take you by surprise. It is a movie that I highly recommend if you like the horror genre, as many things stay in your mind after it, like the "death crackle" which is the sound the mother makes before doing her macabre acts. Truly a good scary movie that delivers.
Audition
Otra película japonesa, porque los asiáticos son increíbles cuando del género del terror se trata. La película gira entorno a Aoyama, un hombre que tiempo después de la muerte de su esposa decide seguir adelante y buscar el amor otra vez. Un amigo suyo lo ayuda a hacer unas audiciones para decidir como sería la mujer de su vida con la excusa de buscar a una actriz para una película falsa, en medio de varias audiciones se percata de Asami Yamazari y se siente atraído por ella rápidamente. Ellos comienzan una relación pero nuestro protagonista nota que nada de lo que puso esta chica en su perfil parece ser verdad, por lo que procede a adentrarse en un desarrollo completamente oscuro, haciendo cuestionar a Aoyama sobre su decisión. Esta película es una tensión constante que puede llegar a incomodar en muchas ocasiones, y hablar de lo gráfica que es es otro detalle, ya que hay una escena que no diré para no hacer spoiler, pero advierto que puede ser algo grotesca en cuanto a lo incómodo y tortuoso. Se considera una película de culto para el cine de terror japonés por la estructura en la trama y como poco a poco nos adentramos en el verdadero terror. Es una película que recomiendo a todo amante del terror y que me dio miedo.
Another Japanese film, because asians are amazing when it comes to the horror genre. The film revolves around Aoyama, a man who some time after the death of his wife decides to move on and look for love again. A friend of his helps him to do some auditions to decide who would be the woman of his life with the excuse of looking for an actress for a fake movie, in the middle of several auditions he notices Asami Yamazari and is quickly attracted to her. They begin a relationship but our protagonist notices that nothing this girl put in her profile seems to be true, so he proceeds to go into a completely dark development, making Aoyama question his decision. This film is a constant tension that can become uncomfortable on many occasions, and talking about how graphic it is is another detail, as there is a scene that I won't say so as not to make spoilers, but I warn that it can be somewhat grotesque in terms of uncomfortable and torturous. It is considered a cult film for Japanese horror cinema because of the structure in the plot and how little by little we get into the real terror. It is a film that I recommend to every horror lover and it scared me.
Carrie
En este caso hablo de la película original de 1976, basada en la novela homónima del escritor Stephen King. Esta película trata de la vida de Carrie, una adolescente que sufre de acoso principalmente por ser una chica extremadamente religiosa obligada por su madre, la cual lleva su religión de manera obsesiva, interpretando la biblia a su manera y fomentando abuso psicológico en Carrie, haciéndola sumamente insegura y tímida. Un día, después de una práctica de voleibol en el colegio las chicas van a las duchas, en ese momento Carrie tiene su primera menstruación y esto ocasiona las burlas de su compañeras lanzándole compresas y tampones. La profesora intenta ayudarla pero Carrie explota el bombillo del bañador sin saber que tiene poderes. A partir de ahí vemos como Carrie es víctima de constantes burlas, abusos de su madre e incluso obligan a un chico a invitarla al baile (el cual no le molesta mucho y le agarra cariño a Carrie). Tiene escenas gráficas al final y la pongo aquí porque esta versión la verdad me dio miedo. El hecho de que dé el ambiente de una película de los 70s con aires de tensión, además de que la actriz que hace a Carrie tiene una mirada que me perturba es una razón por la que esta versión está aquí. Recomiendo verla y también leer la novela, no los va a decepcionar.
In this case I am talking about the original 1976 movie, based on the novel of the same name by writer Stephen King. This movie is about the life of Carrie, a teenager who suffers from bullying mainly for being an extremely religious girl forced by her mother, who carries her religion obsessively, interpreting the bible in her own way and encouraging psychological abuse in Carrie, making her extremely insecure and shy. One day, after a volleyball practice at school the girls go to the showers, at that moment Carrie has her first menstruation and this causes her classmates to tease her by throwing pads and tampons at her. The teacher tries to help her but Carrie explodes the light bulb of her bathing suit without knowing that she has powers. From then on we see how Carrie is constantly teased, abused by her mother and even forced to ask a boy to the dance (which does not bother him much and he takes a liking to Carrie). It has graphic scenes at the end and I put it here because this version really scared me. The fact that it gives the atmosphere of a 70s movie with an air of tension, plus the fact that the actress who plays Carrie has a look that disturbs me is one reason why this version is here. I recommend watching it and also reading the novel, you won't be disappointed.
El Proyecto de la Bruja de Blair | The Blair Witch Project
Esta película a diferencia de las que he nombrado, tiene la característica de ser de género "terror" y "metraje grabado" como si estas grabaciones hubiesen sido encontradas y luego visualizadas por quienes supuestamente la encontraron, de hecho, muchas personas aún consideran que estos metrajes pueden ser reales. Esta historia gira entorno a tres estudiantes que quieren hacer una investigación sobre una leyenda de mujer que fue asesinada a causa de una acusación por brujería en la ciudad que antiguamente se llamaba Blair. Estos chicos entrevistan a los pobladores para saber más y le narran la historia de un joven que asesinó a niños por orden de una anciana, la cual suponen que es Bruja de Blair. Los jóvenes para investigar se adentran en el bosque y comienzan a hacer una investigación más a fondo. Para resumir y no hacer spoiler, la historia narra las cosas tenebrosas y extrañas que sufren estos chicos al investigar y descubrir cosas. Como pasan los días, llegan a acampar y tener tensión en algunos momentos. Realmente está muy bien realizada ya que parece como si fueran metrajes grabados por estudiantes que descubrieron lo peor, de verdad es algo que recomiendo ver. Pero sin mí, porque me da miedito.
This film differs from the ones I have mentioned above in that it has the characteristic of being of the "horror" genre and "recorded footage" as if these recordings had been found and then viewed by those who supposedly found it, in fact, many people still consider that this footage may be real. This story revolves around three students who want to do research on a legend of a woman who was killed because of an accusation of witchcraft in the town formerly known as Blair. These boys interview the villagers to find out more and tell the story of a young man who murdered children on the orders of an old woman, who they believe to be the Witch of Blair. In order to investigate, the young people go into the forest and begin to investigate further. To summarize and not to make spoilers, the story narrates the dark and strange things that these boys suffer as they investigate and discover things. As the days go by, they get to camp out and have tension at times. It really is very well done as it looks like footage shot by students who discovered the worst, it really is something I recommend watching. But without me, because it gives me the creeps.

Yo les dije al principio que soy una persona extremadamente miedosa y que realmente sugerir películas que den miedo es difícil para mí porque me asusto fácil, sin embargo, cuando vi esta película hasta mis amigos sumamente valientes se asustaron. Esta es una película tailandesa que se centra en una pareja que accidentalmente atropellan a un peatón, pero en vez de ayudarlo huyen del lugar. Luego de ese incidente ellos intentan volver a la normalidad, sin embargo comienzan a ocurrir cosas extrañas, ya que la chica tiene constantes pesadillas y el chico,el cual es fotógrafo, comienza a ver figuras extrañas en las fotos que toma. Esto comienza a tomar un rumbo bastante turbio cuando amigos de la pareja comienzan a morir de extrañas formas, por lo que deciden investigar qué es lo que está pasando y si el accidente tuvo algo que ver. Realmente es una película que deja los nervios incluso después de terminar. Es necesario estar pendiente de los detalles porque los giros de trama son escalofriantes, pero excelentes. Algo que tienen las películas asiáticas de terror es que generalmente estas tragedias ocurren por una tragedia pasada, en este caso, un accidente. Personalmente esta película hizo que no me quisiera fotografiar por varias semanas por miedo a que saliera algo raro en las fotos, además de que mis amigos y yo nos asustábamos cuando habías luces raras en algunas fotos. La recomiendo mucho si les gusta el terror, se que al menos los dejará pensando en la noche.
I told you at the beginning that I am an extremely fearful person and that actually suggesting scary movies is difficult for me because I scare easily, however, when I saw this movie even my extremely brave friends were scared. This is a Thai movie that centers around a couple who accidentally run over a pedestrian, but instead of helping him they run away from the scene. After that incident they try to get back to normal, however strange things start to happen, as the girl has constant nightmares and the boy, who is a photographer, starts seeing strange figures in the pictures he takes. This begins to take a rather murky turn when friends of the couple begin to die in strange ways, so they decide to investigate what is going on and if the accident had something to do with it. It really is a movie that leaves your nerves even after it's over. You need to keep an eye on the details because the plot twists are chilling, but excellent. One thing about Asian horror movies is that usually these tragedies occur because of a past tragedy, in this case, an accident. Personally this movie made me not want to take pictures for several weeks for fear that something weird would come out in the photos, plus my friends and I were scared when there were weird lights in some photos. I highly recommend it if you like horror, I know it will at least leave you thinking at night.

El género del terror a veces puede ser cliché, pero hay películas que en serio dan bastante miedo o te dejan con una sensación de incomodidad al final, lo cual hace que se cumpla el cometido del género.
