Este articulo ha sido motivado por una publicación de mi amiga @izzieperez sobre Thor el Dios del Trueno que es su vengador preferido, post que ella realizo en respuesta a la iniciativa de @isabellav505, la cual nos invita precisamente a escribir sobre nuestro personaje predilecto del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel (aunque el título de esa iniciativa hace alusión directa a los superhéroes del equipo conocido como Los Vengadores, imagino que no se trata de una propuesta estrictamente excluyente de personajes como Pantera Negra, que no es un vengador como tal, o incluso Loky que ni siquiera es precisamente un héroe). En mi caso, aunque me es difícil definir un único favorito, ya que en primer lugar mis dos grandes amores (debido a que ambas son hermosas) son Natasha Romanoff / Viuda Negra y Wanda Maximoff / Bruja Escarlata. En segundo lugar, casi todos me parecen muy buenos personajes y en tercero que nunca he sido alguien de fanatizarme excesivamente por algo, pero creo que la mayor parte de mi agrado recae en Tony Stark / Iron Man y, en los siguientes párrafos voy a explicar los motivos de ello.
Principalmente siendo yo ingeniero de sistemas, es lógico que un personaje que tiene tan estrecha relación con la tecnología me genere un interés especial. Las inteligencias artificiales J.A.R.V.I.S y F.R.I.D.A.Y. que son prácticamente otro par de personajes y que tienen con él una relación similar a la de Alfred con Batman, siendo como su mano derecha, son un elemento que para mí tiene una relevancia muy grande, ya que uno de mis oficios es la programación y desarrollo de software. En ese sentido, también está la creación de Ultron y Vision que son sistemas informáticos que poseen una dimensión extra en comparación con los anteriores, pues estos poseen cuerpos robóticos super avanzados y pese a que obviamente son parte de la ficción, para alguien con afinidad por la computación, no dejan de ser impresionantes.
This article has been motivated by a publication of my friend @izzieperez about Thor the God of Thunder who is her favorite avenger, a post that she made in response to the initiative of @ isabellav505, which invites us precisely to write about our favorite character of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (although the title of that initiative makes a direct reference to the superheroes of the team known as The Avengers, I imagine that it is not a strictly exclusive proposal of characters like Black Panther, who is not an avenger as such, or even Loky who's not even exactly a hero). In my case, although it is difficult for me to define a single favorite, since in the first place my two great loves (because they are both beautiful) are Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow and Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch. Secondly, almost all of them seem like very good characters and thirdly, I have never been someone to become excessively fanatical about something, but I think that most of my liking falls on Tony Stark / Iron Man and, in the following paragraphs I will explain the reasons for it.
Mainly as I am a systems engineer, it is logical that a character who has such a close relationship with technology generates a special interest in me. The artificial intelligences J.A.R.V.I.S and F.R.I.D.A.Y. that they are practically another couple of characters and that they have a relationship with him similar to that of Alfred with Batman, being like his right hand, they are an element that for me has a very great relevance, since one of my jobs is programming and software development. In that sense, there is also the creation of Ultron and Vision, which are computer systems that have an extra dimension compared to the previous ones, since they have super advanced robotic bodies and although they are obviously part of fiction, for someone with an affinity for computing, they are still impressive.
Un detalle que presenta la historia del personaje de Tony Stark y que conecta mucho conmigo, es el hecho de que él, no obtiene sus “poderes” gracias a un accidente en el que un químico es derramado sobre su cuerpo, por la picadura de un insecto o debido a la magia de un ser místico, él realmente se ha convertido a sí mismo en superhéroe por mérito propio a consecuencia de su excepcional capacidad intelectual. Su traje o armadura es un proyecto de ingeniería extraordinario, al punto que aun sin poseer componentes extraterrestres o elementos esotérico, difícilmente puede ser replicado con éxito por otra persona, corporación o institución, aunque hay excepciones como la de la joven Riri Williams (Ironheart) que creo su propia versión del traje.
A diferencia de Bruce Wayne (Batman) él no solo es dueño de una gran empresa, sino que esa compañía se sustenta en gran medida sobre los productos tecnológicos creados por él mismo, ya que además de millonario, filántropo y playboy, también es un genio tecnológico que antes volverse Iron Man desarrollaba armamento sofisticado para las fuerzas velicas de Estados Unidos, tal como lo hacía su padre Howard Stark, de quien heredo no solo su riqueza, sino también su gran inteligencia. Por cierto, esto me hace recordar que según lo expresado por Christopher Markus y Stephen McFeely, los guionistas de la película Vengadores: Endgame, Tony no es adoptado en el UCM como si ocurre en los comics, de modo que efectivamente hereda su inteligencia de Howard.
Su personalidad arrogante, sínica y hasta cierto punto narcisista, que se aleja bastante de la mostrada por otros superhéroes con un nivel de popularidad equivalente como lo son Superman, Batman o el mismo Capitán América, los cuales suelen ser respetuosos, humildes y circunspectos, le da a este personaje un toque innovador, pero más allá de eso le impregna un grado de humor satírico y sarcástico que personalmente me fascina. Las bromas que constantemente está haciendo y los apodos que les pone a todos los que interactuar con él, constituyen para mí un plus que no consigo en ningún otro miembro de la franquicia, a mi modo de ver el estilo de comedia que maneja no lo ridiculiza como si ocurre por ejemplo con Drax o incluso Star-Lord. Lo más impresionante es que aun teniendo un carácter tan irreverente, el carisma que irradia es enorme, de modo que se ha vuelto uno de los héroes más queridos de Marvel.

His suit or armor is an extraordinary engineering project, to the point that even without possessing extraterrestrial components or esoteric elements, it can hardly be successfully replicated by another person, corporation or institution, although there are exceptions such as that of the young Riri Williams (Ironheart). who created his own version of the suit.
Unlike Bruce Wayne (Batman), he not only owns a large company, but that company relies heavily on the technological products created by himself, since in addition to being a millionaire, philanthropist and playboy, he is also a genius. Before becoming Iron Man, he developed sophisticated weaponry for the United States sailor forces, as did his father Howard Stark, from whom he inherited not only his wealth, but also his great intelligence. By the way, this reminds me that as expressed by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the writers of the movie Avengers: Endgame, Tony is not adopted in the MCU as if it happens in the comics, so he effectively inherits his intelligence from Howard .
His arrogant, sinic and to some extent narcissistic personality, which is quite far from that shown by other superheroes with an equivalent level of popularity such as Superman, Batman or Captain America himself, who are usually respectful, humble and circumspect, He gives this character an innovative touch, but beyond that he is infused with a degree of satirical and sarcastic humor that fascinates me personally. The jokes that he is constantly making and the nicknames that he gives to everyone who interacts with him, constitute for me a plus that I do not get in any other member of the franchise, in my view the style of comedy that he handles does not ridicule him as if it happens for example with Drax or even Star-Lord. The most impressive thing is that even with such an irreverent character, the charisma that he radiates is enormous, so that he has become one of Marvel's most beloved heroes.
Me parece que su historia está muy bien escrita y tiene un gran desarrollo de personaje, pasando de ser alguien egocéntrico, indolente, superficial, promiscuo y odioso, a ser un ciudadano ejemplar, un esposo fiel, un padre amoroso y un hombre altruista capaz de sacrificar su propia vida para alcanzar el bienestar colectivo, por su puesto todo eso sin perder la esencia de su identidad y temperamento. Esa evolución está marcada por una serie de hechos, entre ellos la constante ausencia de su padre mientras se encontraba vivo, ya que anteponía su trabajo a su deber como padre y no le proporcionaba afecto a Tony, lo que género en él un comportamiento rebelde. Luego la muerte de sus padres agudizaría esa conducta, pero cuando es secuestrado y se encuentra al borde de la muerte, reflexiona y cambia su forma de ver el mundo, comprende que ha estado haciendo daño a la sociedad e intenta revertir eso, su amor por Pepper Potts lo hace “sentar cabeza” y finalmente su faceta como padre mostrada en Endgame, de la que adoro el momento cuando su hija Morgan le dice “I Love You 3000” que se tradujo al castellano como: “Yo te amo tres millones”.
Otro aspecto que creo le da profundidad a este personaje es que no se trata de un ser perfecto, es un hombre normal, si millonario y genio, pero al fin de cuentas un humano común y corriente, que comete errores, que tiene defectos, que padece problemas de salud a causa del mismo artefacto que lo mantiene con vida, que tiene temores que lo perturban y lo obsesionan, que sufre ataques de ansiedad ocasionados por las circunstancias que le ha tocado vivir, que se frustra al no conseguir sus objetivos de proteger al mundo, pero que pese a todo ello se repone y se enfrenta a los más grandes retos.
Su relación en cierto modo paternal con Peter Parker, también es algo que a mí me ha parecido muy bueno, quizá para los fanáticos de Spider-Man eso no haya sido tan bien visto, ya que ver a su héroe ser tutelado por otro, siendo que en los comics uno de sus grandes atractivos es casi siempre salir adelante por si solo ante incontables adversidades, eso lo comprendo, sin embargo, para mi es más que aceptable y creo que enriquece las historias de ambos personajes, ya que le da a Tony un pupilo y a Peter un proveedor de tecnologías que para un joven sin riquezas económicas, aun cuando posea un gran intelecto, le serian bastante difíciles de obtener.
Describir con precisión todos los detalles que me hacen fanático del Hombre de Hierro me tomaría mucho más texto, por lo que no entrare a analizar cosas como la excelente actuación que hace el actor Robert Downey Jr. en este papel, pero creo que con estos pocos párrafos resumo los factores primordiales que me hacen preferir a este superhéroe por encima de otros. De modo que para finalizar, voy a mencionar un último factor que es importante para mí en este sentido, me refiero a las canciones de AC/DC que forman parte de sus películas, me gusta mucho la música Rock y esos clásicos son de mis favoritos, así que unir esos temas musicales a las escenas de Iron Man me resulta magnifico. Lamentablemente es posible que ya no volvamos a ver a este personaje en el UCM.

This evolution is marked by a series of events, among them the constant absence of his father while he was alive, since he put his work before his duty as a father and did not provide Tony with affection, which led to a rebellious behavior in him. Then the death of his parents would exacerbate this behavior, but when he is kidnapped and is on the verge of death, he reflects and changes his way of seeing the world, he understands that he has been doing harm to society and tries to reverse that, his love for Pepper Potts makes him "settle down" and finally his facet as a father shown in Endgame, of which I adore the moment when his daughter Morgan tells him "I Love You 3000" which was translated into Spanish as: "I love you three million" .
Another aspect that I think gives depth to this character is that he is not a perfect being, he is a normal man, yes a millionaire and genius, but at the end of the day an ordinary human, who makes mistakes, who has defects, who suffers from health problems due to the same device that keeps him alive, that he has fears that disturb and obsess him, that he suffers from anxiety attacks caused by the circumstances that he has had to live, that is frustrated when he does not achieve his objectives of protecting to the world, but despite all this, it recovers and faces the greatest challenges.
His somewhat paternal relationship with Peter Parker is also something that I have found very good, perhaps for Spider-Man fans that has not been so well seen, since seeing his hero being tutored by another, being that in comics one of its great attractions is almost always to get ahead on its own in the face of countless adversities, I understand that, however, for me it is more than acceptable and I think it enriches the stories of both characters, since it gives Tony a pupil and Peter a provider of technologies that for a young man without economic wealth, even if he has a great intellect, would be quite difficult to obtain.
Accurately describing all the details that make me a fan of Iron Man would take a lot more text, so I will not go into things like the excellent performance that actor Robert Downey Jr. does in this role, but I think with these few paragraphs summarize the main factors that make me prefer this superhero over others. So to finish, I am going to mention one last factor that is important to me in this regard, I mean the AC / DC songs that are part of their movies, I really like Rock music and those classics are one of my favorites. So linking those musical themes to the Iron Man scenes is great for me. Unfortunately, we may no longer see this character in the MCU.
