Los fanáticos del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel tuvimos que esperar dos años para poder ver nuevamente un largometraje perteneciente a esta exitosa franquicia, con el valor agregado de que esta corresponde a una precuela en la historia de la primera integrante femenina del equipo de superhéroes que conocemos como Los Vengadores, personaje que sacrifico su vida en la película Avengers: Endgame, dejándonos entristecidos a muchos de sus fans. El hecho de tratarse de la precuela de un personaje ya fallecido, le resta trascendencia a esta producción, aunque me parece que también eso representaba un gran potencial para apelar a nuestros sentimientos y traernos una obra conmovedora, en la que se explorara el pasado de Natasha Romanoff dándole buen material a la extraordinaria actriz que es Scarlett Johansson, para despedirse a lo grande, haciendo gala de sus dotes interpretativos.
Lamentablemente creo que la película se queda a medio camino en el alcance de varias de sus metas e incumple con las expectativas generadas durante toda esta larga espera, al centrarse mayormente en la espectacularidad de las escenas de acción, que si bien son bastante impresionantes y llenas de efectos especiales, me parece que no logran un impacto muy profundo, ya que son bastante exageradas e irreales. Entiendo que se trata de una película de superhéroes, sin embargo, cuando un personaje no posee super poderes, espero que las acciones que realice sean humanamente posibles. Ya en las películas de Los Vengadores existen escenas que no me cuadran por ese motivo, como cuando ella de un salto sube a una nave Chitauri y pelea en pleno vuelo con varios alienígenas, pero en este caso me choca más por tratarse de su película en solitario, donde todo debería ser acorde a sus posibilidades.

The fact that it is the prequel to a character who has already passed away, detracts from this production, although it seems to me that this also represented great potential to appeal to our feelings and bring us a moving work, in which Natasha's past is explored. Romanoff giving good material to the extraordinary actress who is Scarlett Johansson, to say goodbye in a big way, showing off her acting skills.
Unfortunately, I believe that the film falls short of the achievement of several of its goals and fails to meet the expectations generated during all this long wait, by focusing mainly on the spectacular nature of the action scenes, which although they are quite impressive and full Of special effects, it seems to me that they do not achieve a very deep impact, since they are quite exaggerated and unreal. I understand that this is a superhero movie, however, when a character does not have super powers, I hope that the actions he takes are humanly possible. Already in the Avengers movies there are scenes that do not fit me for that reason, such as when she jumps up on a Chitauri ship and fights in mid-flight with several aliens, but in this case it shocks me more because it is her movie in solitary, where everything should be according to your possibilities.
En esta película se aborda la infancia de la protagonista, lo cual me parece muy bien, pero luego se obvian etapas de su vida que creo que muchos estábamos esperando ver, como su adolescencia mientras se convertía en una Viuda Negra, lo ocurrido en Budapest donde estuvo involucrado Clint Barton (que debió haber tenido un cameo) o el momento en que deja atrás su pasado para unirse a S.H.I.E.L.D. Todo eso fue reducido al clip introductorio que está compuesto por una versión de la canción Smells Like Teen Spirit de Nirvana y una secuencia de imágenes de niñas retenidas en la Habitación Roja, a unas pocas líneas de dialogo que hacen referencia pasado y un flashback muy vago sobre el supuesto asesinato de la hija del villano a causa de Natasha. Yo habría preferido que se diera mayor peso a esos momentos y se prescindiera de las escenas en el aire, en pro de un enfrentamiento cuerpo a cuerpo más prolongado e impactante contra Taskmaster.

I would have preferred those moments to be given greater weight and dispense with the airborne scenes, in favor of a longer and more impactful melee confrontation with Taskmaster.
La película tiene sus cosas buenas y me parece entretenida, pero no es lo que habría esperado. El personaje de Yelena Belova y su relación con Natasha fue de lo que más me gusto, lo cual es lógico si tomamos en cuenta que esta película quizá más que una despedida para Romanoff, tiene como propósito principal servir de introducción para la nueva Viuda Negra, que será precisamente su hermana Yelena. Si ella no hubiese tenido una participación en esta película, en la cual se nos muestre una estrecha relación entre ella y Natasha, podría ocurrir algo similar a lo que ha sucedido con Brie Larson en su rol de Capitana Marvel, que aunque no es la misma situación pues no vino a sustituir a otro personaje como lo hará en este caso Florence Pugh, si se presentó en su momento como relevo de los héroes originales y al ocurrir eso de un modo tan repentino e inorgánico, produjo el rechazo por parte del fandom, ahora la estrategia de Marvel creo que busca minimizar esa posibilidad.
En cuanto a los padres ficticios de Natasha y Yelena, creo que pudieron haber tenido mayor profundidad y relevancia en la trama, me parece que el Guardian Rojo a no ser qué tengan planes a futuro para él en alguna otra producción, debió haber tenido una escena épica en la que terminara sacrificándose por su familia, sé que la intensión fue mostrar un hombre machista, engreído y adoctrinado que no posee mayores sentimientos y solo pretende ser fiel a un ideal fracasado, pero pudo haber tenido un momento de redención que lo volviera menos olvidable. Creo que David Harbour hace un buen papel y que el toque cómico que su personaje le otorga a la película es bueno, pero el guion extiende demasiado esa cuota de comicidad y termina convirtiéndose nada más que en un bufón.

If she had not had a participation in this film, in which we are shown a close relationship between her and Natasha, something similar to what has happened with Brie Larson in her role as Captain Marvel could happen, which although it is not the same situation because she did not come to replace another character as Florence Pugh will do in this case, if she was presented at the time as a replacement for the original heroes and when that happened in such a sudden and inorganic way, it produced rejection by the fandom, Now, I think Marvel's strategy seeks to minimize that possibility.
As for the fictional parents of Natasha and Yelena, I think they could have had more depth and relevance in the plot, it seems to me that the Red Guardian unless they have future plans for him in some other production, he must have had a scene epic in which he ended up sacrificing himself for his family, I know that the intention was to show a macho, conceited and indoctrinated man who does not have greater feelings and only pretends to be faithful to a failed ideal, but he could have had a moment of redemption that made him less forgettable. I think David Harbor plays a good role and that the comic touch that his character gives the film is good, but the script extends that amount of humor too much and ends up becoming nothing more than a buffoon.

Se nos prometió eso, que sabríamos porque ella deseaba morir, pero al menos yo no veo que los argumentos dados en la película sean convincentes, si dio la orden de matar a una niña, pero esa niña sobrevivió, abandonó a su hermana, pero ya se reconciliaron y podrían retomar y fortalecer su vínculo... no veo la razón para desear morir.

Si dejamos de lado todo lo que teníamos en mente guardaría relación con el contexto del personaje dentro del universo de películas anteriores, entonces nos encontramos con una película que puede ser entretenida, que tiene muy buena acción (lo que por allí llaman una película palomitera), pero que intenta reciclar unos cuantos conceptos de “Capitán América y el Soldado del Invierno”, solo que consigue a medias debido a un menor desarrollo narrativo. El engaño que Natasha y Melina elaboran para extraer la información a Dreykov (Ray Winstone) está bastante bueno y presenta algunos paralelismos con la trampa que ella y Nick Fury le preparan a Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford), el máximo agente encubierto de HYDRA dentro de S.H.I.E.L.D. y el Consejo Mundial de Seguridad. Lo que no me termina de convencer es que Taskmaster sea la hija de Dreykov que sobrevivió al atentado que le efectuó Natasha en el pasado, donde no logro matar a su padre y tampoco a Antonia Dreykov (Olga Kurylenko).
La escena post-creditos nos muestra como Yelena está trabajando para Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, que apareje repentinamente junto a ella en la tumba de Natasha, como si se hubiera teletransportado (lo cual no me encanta) y le encomienda el asesinato de Clint Barton, diciéndole además que él fue el responsable de la muerte de su hermana. Esto podría convertirla a ella en una antagonista para la serie de Hawkeye que está en camino, donde yo pienso que terminara haciéndose aliada de Kate Bishop para que luego ambas formen parte de los Jóvenes Vengadores, pero existe la posibilidad de que ella termine matando a Clint y convirtiéndose en una villana o una antihéroe que forme equipo con U.S. Agent en un grupo como los Thunderbolts.

The post-credits scene shows us how Yelena is working for Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who suddenly appears next to her at Natasha's grave, as if she had teleported (which I don't love) and entrusts her with the murder of Clint Barton, further telling him that he was responsible for the death of his sister. This could turn her into an antagonist for the Hawkeye series that is on the way, where I think she will end up allying with Kate Bishop so that later they both become part of the Young Avengers, but there is a possibility that she ends up killing Clint and becoming a villain or antihero teaming up with US Agent in a group like the Thunderbolts.
Finalmente quiero decir que, si bien no estoy contento con la película, pues creo que pudo haber sido mucho mejor, tampoco creo que sea terrible, como ya dije esta llenada de acción, tiene momentos divertidos, la actuación de Scarlett Johansson es buena, la participación de Florence Pugh lo es también muy buena y la historia responde de alguna manera a las incógnitas sobre el pasado de la Viuda Negra que muchos teníamos, a la vez que sienta las bases para que pronto veamos a Yelena asumir el manto que deja su hermana Natasha.
Finally I want to say that, although I am not happy with the film, because I think it could have been much better, I do not think it is terrible, as I said, it is full of action, it has funny moments, Scarlett Johansson's performance is good, the Florence Pugh's participation is also very good and the story responds in some way to the unknowns about the Black Widow's past that many of us had, at the same time that it lays the groundwork so that we will soon see Yelena assume the mantle that her sister leaves Natasha.
