En los 80' vi vida se pasaba en ver dos series animadas, una era "Mazinger Z" y la otra era "He-Man y los Amos del Universo", ambas muy importantes para mí ya que siempre estaba viéndolas en cualquier momento; He-Man fue una gran serie, muchos personajes, muchos artefactos y claro eso significaba muchos juguetes, creo que eso era lo más atractivo de esta serie porque en realidad ahora con mucha más edad la historia es de lo más simple, un hombre que la decir una frase al levantar su espada se transformaba en el hombre más fuerte del universo, He-Man era el campeón de Eternia, el único que podía salvar a todos de la gran amenaza que significaba Skeletor, uno de los mejores villanos que he visto, gran carisma, divertido y a la vez malvado y o solo eso sino con uno de los mejores diseños que hay, es tan excelente y único que nunca pudo ser copiado en ninguna de sus figuras de acción, como dije antes, su historia es simple, cada amenaza, cada problema que causaba Skeletor y su gran número de secuaces era repelido por He-Man y sus amigos, los episodios era siempre lo mismo, lo único diferente era el tema del episodio el cual siempre dejaba un mensaje que era recalcado por alguno de los protagonistas de esta historia, pero no siempre fue así, siempre quedó algo que contar y que nunca fue desarrollado y eso era el pasado de un personaje que siempre fue visto como una Sidekick a pesar de ser valiente, ella es Teela, su historia nunca fue revelada, su pasado y su origen fue nombrado en algunos episodios, pero nunca desarrollado, esta historia sobre un personaje junto al pasado de Eternia y otras preguntas más era lo que esperaba sobre "Revelation" era la expectativa que tenía, junto de ver una historia adulta, sin olvidar todo lo que me hizo ver por mucho tiempo a la serie original sobre los Amos del Universo.

In the 80' I saw life was spent watching two animated series, one was "Mazinger Z" and the other was "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe ", both very important to me as I was always watching them at any given time; He-Man was a great series, many characters, many artifacts and of course that meant many toys, I think that was the most attractive of this series because actually now with much more age the story is the simplest, a man who say a sentence to raise his sword was transformed into the strongest man in the universe, He-Man was the champion of Eternia, the only one who could save everyone from the great threat that meant Skeletor, one of the best villains I've ever seen, great charisma, funny and at the same time evil and not only that but with one of the best designs there is, he is so excellent and unique that he could never be copied in any of his action figures, as I said before, his story is simple, every threat, every problem that Skeletor and his large number of henchmen caused was repelled by He-Man and his friends, the episodes were always the same, the only different thing was the theme of the episode which always left a message that was emphasized by one of the protagonists of this story, but it was not always so, there was always something to tell and that was never developed and that was the past of a character who was always seen as a Sidekick despite being brave, she is Teela, her story was never revealed, her past and her origin was named in some episodes, but never developed, this story about a character along with Eternia's past and other more questions was what I expected about "Revelation" was the expectation I had, along with seeing an adult story, without forgetting everything that made me watch for a long time the original series about the Masters of the Universe.
Esta serie que se estrenó el pasado viernes 23/07, solo cuenta con tan solo cinco episodios en su primera parte, estos sirven para dar una gran introducción a lo que será esta nueva etapa en esta historia en dónde se desarrollará personajes que estaban en un segundo plano en la versión de los 80' desde un comienzo nos muestra una Eternia acostumbrada a las victorias gracias a su gran campeón, He-Man, Eternia es un lugar feliz que a pesar de contar con un gran enemigo, siempre era derrotado por quienes defendían el bien, nunca hubo un gran problema y hasta eso vemos en los primeros minutos del primer episodio de "Revelation", pero el subestimar a un gran enemigo será lo que traiga una gran pérdida para este planeta dependiente de la magia, esto es lo que primeramente me gustó de este episodio, la nostalgia se hizo presente al ver la normalidad de este comienzo, pero tal como Sorceress subestimó a Skeletor, creo que los fans también subestimamos a esta serie y es por eso que cuando ocurre un cambio radical e impactante, seguro muchos no pudiera aceptarlo, yo en cambio me pareció lo mejor, rompió la monotonía de esta historia y la convirtió en algo nuevo, a culpa y el rechazo de una gran pérdida mostró la realidad de muchos personajes, esto es lo que me gustó porque es claro que ya ninguno que vio está serie hace más de 30 años es un niño y creo que más que nunca quería ver una versión adulta de estos personajes.

La animación de la versión de los 80' era algo que me gustaba, el territorio dónde ocurría la mayoría de las escenas, el diseño de varios de sus personajes y los artefactos, como naves y vehículos, siempre recuerdo que trataba de dibujar eso en mis cuadernos, es algo que respeto, pero no tengo ningún problema en un rediseño de los personajes, esto es algo que al saber de esta nueva serie estaba preparado para ver algo nuevo y quería ver algo nuevo y debo decir que el cambio para algunos fue lo mejor, se mantuvo un gran parecido para algunos de los personajes y hubo un claro cambio para otros, creo que cambios necesarios ajustados para esta nueva fase de la historia, los cambios para He-Man, Principe Adam, Orko, Skeletor y Teela, los cuales para mí son los que muestran un gran cambio, todo fueron geniales, voy a enfocarme en el aspecto/diseño de Adam y Teela, el primero es tal como debería ser, es muy parecido a la versión del remake del 2000, hay una diferencia clara entre su estado normal y cuando es He-Man, tal vez es muy delgado, pero creo que está bien, ahora de Teela he leído críticas sobre su masculinidad en esta versión, en la de los 80' este personaje es como una modelo de Victoria Secret, esto no es queja, pero podemos creer que para esta versión es una hermosa mujer guerrera, su físico es claro de una mujer que es experta en combate y fue nombrada "Man-At-Arms", primera mujer en obtener ese rango, no tengo problemas con su diseño, no pierde su feminidad, es fuerte, valiente, una preparada guerrera y así espero que se vea alguien que enfrente a feroces enemigos, de seguro que los que critican a los diseños de ambos personajes solo puedo decir que se quedaron muy atrás en el tiempo y eso es lamentable.
La historia que comienza está fase de MotU creo que es lo que ha levantado el enojo de algunos fans, críticas completamente estúpidas y sin ninguna base, yo de niño recuerdo que las series tanto de He-Man como She-Ra, eran lo mismo, siempre aparece el villano con un plan, aparece el héroe, termina con el plan y derrota a los villanos, estos huyen y se daba un consejo final para la audiencia infantil que veía estas series, no hay desarrollo de nada, no hay una historia en sí que contar y con qué engancharse, claro que por un gran tiempo esto sirvió ya que dos años duro He-Man y creo que hasta pudo durar mucho más, pero en cambio se siguió con más de lo mismo y eso acabo con una gran serie, pero ¿En esta oportunidad se debería hacer lo mismo? Claro que no, la nostalgia puede ser usada en otras cosas y lo mejor es que está vez puede impulsar y desarrollar una verdadera historia en esta serie, evolucionar, mostrar algo nuevo de lo que se había tanteado y nunca contado hace más de 30 años atrás, este era el momento adecuado y celebro de que se esté haciendo porque pregunto después de tanto tiempo ¿Quieren seguir viendo lo mismo? Yo en lo personal no, quería ver algo nuevo y eso he visto en estos primeros cinco episodios, una historia fresca que de protagonismo a otros y que a la vez se esté preparando para algo mejor, esto es lo importante y lo que seguramente seguiremos viendo en la segunda parte de esta primera temporada.
The animation of the 80's version was something I liked, the territory where most of the scenes took place, the design of several of the characters and the artifacts, like ships and vehicles, I always remember trying to draw that in my notebooks, it is something I respect, but I have no problem in a redesign of the characters, this is something that when I knew about this new series I was ready to see something new and I wanted to see something new and I must say that the change for some was the best, it kept a great resemblance for some of the characters and there was a clear change for others, I think the changes needed to be adjusted for this new phase of the story, the changes for He-Man, Prince Adam, Orko, Skeletor and Teela, which for me are the ones that show a great change, all were great, I am going to focus on the look/design of Adam and Teela, the first one is as he should be, he is very similar to the 2000 remake version, there is a clear difference between his normal state and when he is He-Man, maybe he is too thin, but I think he is ok, now about Teela I have read criticisms about her masculinity in this version, in the 80's version this character is like a Victoria Secret model, this is not a complaint, but we can believe that for this version she is a beautiful warrior woman, her physique is clear of a woman who is an expert in combat and was named "Man-At-Arms", first woman to obtain that rank, I have no problem with her design, she does not lose her femininity, she is strong, brave, a prepared warrior and so I hope she looks like someone who faces fierce enemies, for sure those who criticize the designs of both characters I can only say that they were left far behind in time and that is unfortunate.
The story that begins this phase of MotU I think that is what has raised the anger of some fans, completely stupid criticisms and without any basis, I remember as a child that the series of both He-Man and She-Ra, were the same, always appears the villain with a plan, the hero appears, ends with the plan and defeats the villains, These flee and gave a final tip for the child audience who watched these series, there is no development of anything, there is no story to tell and what to get hooked, of course for a long time this served as He-Man lasted two years and I think it could have lasted much longer, but instead it continued with more of the same and that ended with a great series, but this time should we do the same? Of course not, nostalgia can be used in other things and the best thing is that this time it can push and develop a real story in this series, evolve, show something new of what had been tried and never told more than 30 years ago, this was the right time and I am glad it is being done because I ask after so long do you want to keep seeing the same thing? I personally do not, I wanted to see something new and that's what I have seen in these first five episodes, a fresh story that gives prominence to others and at the same time is preparing for something better, this is what is important and what we will surely continue to see in the second part of this first season.
Teela es mi personaje favorito en esta primera parte, no siento ninguna molestia por no tener tanto tiempo de los personajes principales en todas las escenas, al contrario, me gustó que estuvieran los pocos habituales con mayor tiempo en los 5 primeros episodios, en especial a la conocida como la hija de Duncan y a la que todos sabemos que su madre es Sorceress, pero ¿Que más sabemos de ella? ¿Por qué este secreto se mantiene? ¿Quién es su verdadero padre? A pesar de que en la versión de los 80' existe episodios enfocados en la historia personal de Teela, nunca es revelado por completo todo sobre ella y es por eso que en esta nueva fase de seguro podemos completar la importancia sobre ella en Eternia, algo más que ser la hija de Sorceress y que por fin se pueda revelar quién es su verdadero padre; el otro personaje que me gustó fue Evil-Lyn, ella junto a Teela tienen un importante protagonismo, sus historias más desarrolladas creo que están para ser importantes personajes en vez de ser un simple "sidekick", a pesar de mostrar el porqué de sus motivos que para muchos es algo simple en esta pequeña aventura, está claro que en los próximos episodios tendrán una mayor importancia demostrando lo poderosas que son, ambas líderes y con la experiencia para enfrentar a futuros enemigos, celebro mucho que sean ellas las protagonistas por lo menos de estos primeros episodios de esta nueva historia.
Teela is my favorite character in this first part, I don't feel any discomfort for not having so much time of the main characters in all the scenes, on the contrary, I liked that they were the few regulars with more time in the first 5 episodes, especially the one known as the daughter of Duncan and the one we all know that her mother is Sorceress, but What else do we know about her? Why this secret is kept? Who is her real father? Although in the 80's version there are episodes focused on Teela's personal history, it is never fully revealed everything about her and that is why in this new phase we can surely complete the importance about her in Eternia, something more than being the daughter of Sorceress and finally we can reveal who her real father is; the other character I liked was Evil-Lyn, she together with Teela have an important role, their stories more developed I think they are to be important characters instead of being a simple "sidekick", despite showing the reason for their motives that for many is something simple in this little adventure, it is clear that in the next episodes they will have a greater importance showing how powerful they are, both leaders and with the experience to face future enemies, I celebrate a lot that they are the protagonists at least of these first episodes of this new story.
Muchos han levantado una gran queja sobre esta nueva serie, su argumento es que fueron engañados al no mostrar mucho tanto a He-Man como a Skeletor, para mí es la peor critica que he leído, primero la serie tiene buena animación, fluye mucho es genial, se respeta a la mayoría del diseño original de un gran número de personajes y los cambios creo que son muy adecuados, le da por momentos el protagonismo a personajes que lo necesitan, otros proyectos como los de Marvel Studios y Disney lo están haciendo y de eso no se queja nadie, entonces el Showrunner de esta serie, Kevin Smith, tuvo la gran idea de contar una historia que todavía no se ha desarrollado por completo como es el origen del poder del Castillo de Grayskull y el origen de Teela que parece que al final todo está unido a la magia y a este personaje el darle protagonismo a la frase que era parte del título en los 80' y que ahora es lo más importante de esta parte de esa misma historia, "Master of Universe" , esto deja claro que He-Man no es el único protagonista, hay muchos más que pueden usar ese título y para mí es algo muy importante y la hace mejor. No comparto el disgusto para este serie, pasan cosas que si las dijera a mi versión de niño no las creería nunca, esta serie, sus primeros episodios son excelentes, algo bien hecho y por momentos bien escrito, así que si eres del fandom tóxico que quiere seguir viendo lo mismo que se hizo hace ya más de 30 años atrás entonces no veas esta serie, ahora sí quieres ver evolucionar algo que te gustó y piensa que fue parte de tu niñez entonces sé que hay un porcentaje alto que disfrutes de esta serie como lo hice yo.
Many have raised a big complaint about this new series, their argument is that they were deceived by not showing much both He-Man and Skeletor, for me it is the worst criticism I've read, first the series has good animation, flows a lot is great, most of the original design of a large number of characters is respected and the changes I think are very appropriate, it gives at times the prominence to characters who need it, other projects like Marvel Studios and Disney are doing it and that no one complains, then the Showrunner of this series, Kevin Smith, had the great idea of telling a story that has not yet been fully developed as is the origin of the power of Castle Grayskull and the origin of Teela that seems that in the end everything is linked to magic and this character to give prominence to the phrase that was part of the title in the 80' and now is the most important of this part of that same story, "Master of Universe ", this makes it clear that He-Man is not the only protagonist, there are many more who can use that title and for me it is something very important and makes it better. I don't share the dislike for this series, things happen that if I told them to my version as a kid I would never believe them, this series, its first episodes are excellent, something well done and at times well written, so if you are of the toxic fandom that wants to keep watching the same thing that was done more than 30 years ago then don't watch this series, now if you want to see something evolve that you liked and think was part of your childhood then I know there is a high percentage that you will enjoy this series as I did.
