El film danés ganador al Oscar como Mejor Película Internacional que nos cuenta la historia de amistad, soledad y mucho licor... "Another Round"
¿Es poderosa la presión social? ¿Es poderosa la presión de la "Amistad"? ¿El Alcohol te puede dar poderes? ¿Qué tanta presión existe para encajar en algún lugar? Estás preguntas me las he hecho en algún momento de mi vida, la presión social es poderosa, la presión de la amistad siempre he pensado que depende con quién está a tu lado, el alcohol te da poderes destructivos (o en mi caso dormir) y sí, la presión para encajar es la mayor de todas y es muy peligrosa porque nos puede llevar a realizar cosas de las cuales nos arrepentiremos toda la vida; tal vez todas estas preguntas vayan tomando importancia mientras vamos creciendo afectando en algún momento nuestro entorno si dejamos ser consumido por algunas de estas interrogantes, esto lo he vuelto a pensar al ver "Another Round".

Is social pressure powerful? Is the pressure of "Friendship" powerful? Can alcohol empower you? How much pressure is there to fit in somewhere? These questions I have asked myself at some point in my life, social pressure is powerful, friendship pressure I have always thought depends on who you are with, alcohol gives you destructive powers (or in my case sleep) and yes, the pressure to fit in is the biggest of all and is very dangerous because it can lead us to do things we will regret all our lives; maybe all these questions will become important as we grow up affecting at some point our environment if we let ourselves be consumed by some of these questions, I have thought about this again when watching "Another Round ".
Este gran film danés nos relata la historia de cuatro amigos, cuatro profesores de un instituto los cuales deben lidiar con la felicidad y juventud que rebosa sus estudiantes, mientras ellos están en una encrucijada de la cual ya no hay vuelta atrás, la vejez, algunos les afectará de una forma que a otros, pero en la búsqueda de tener un nuevo motivo para vivir, tomarán la decisión de ahogar sus penas poco a poco viendo como una versión aburrida de ellos se hunde mientras que una nueva llena de vida se muestra.
This great Danish film tells the story of four friends, four high school teachers who must deal with the happiness and youth that overflows their students, while they are at a crossroads from which there is no turning back, old age, some will affect them in a way that others, but in the search for a new reason to live, they will make the decision to drown their sorrows little by little watching as a dull version of them sinks while a new one full of life is shown.
Está película es dirigida y escrita por el director Thomas Vinterberg, tiene un largo trayecto cumpliendo estos dos papeles y este es el primer film que veo de su autoría, disfrute mucho de cómo hace completamente personal cada momento de estos 4 personajes, es muy cercano en las tomas y eso hace que veamos como cada uno de ellos va evolucionando en esta historia. No sé qué tanta influencia tiene este director como la cinematografía inglesa, pero creo que hay muchos momentos en ate film que si me decían que fue dirigido por un inglés le contestaría que si, la forma de escribir a sus personajes y alguna que otra arquitectura de la ciudad me hicieron sentir eso, me gustó mucho la iluminación en la mayoría de sus escenas fuera opaca para después hacer algo muy diferente al final.
La historia creo que es lo más importante del trabajo de Vinterberg, es una historia muy real y que está muy apegada al momento generacional que vivimos, el ver a jóvenes hacer cosas de jóvenes y que los adultos no consiguen una explicación del porque se comportan de esa manera, seguro que cuando fueron jóvenes hicieron lo mismo y también fueron criticados, esto forma un círculo vicioso que a pesar de que lo escribo en esta publicación, no es el tema principal, pero podemos decir que si un causante; me gusta la historia de estos cuatro hombres de 40 años en adelante que buscan un motivo para sentirse vivos, que forjen una amistad, pero las bases no son lo sumamente fuertes y está afectará a los más débiles, esto es sin duda una historia de un grupo de apoyo la cual usa el alcohol como combustible para que todo pueda funcionar, pero a la vez ese alcohol pueda servir para incendiar todo lo que han hecho en sus vidas.
This film is directed and written by the director Thomas Vinterberg, he has a long trajectory fulfilling these two roles and this is the first film that I see of his authorship, I really enjoyed how he makes completely personal each moment of these 4 characters, he is very close in the shots and that makes us see how each one of them evolves in this story. I do not know how much influence this director has as the English cinematography, but I think there are many moments in ate film that if you told me it was directed by an Englishman I would answer yes, the way of writing his characters and some other architecture of the city made me feel that, I really liked the lighting in most of his scenes was opaque and then do something very different at the end.
The story I think is the most important of the work of Vinterberg, it is a very real story and that is very attached to the generational moment we live, seeing young people do young things and adults do not get an explanation of why they behave that way, surely when they were young they did the same and were also criticized, this forms a vicious circle that although I write it in this publication, it is not the main theme, but we can say that if a causative; I like the story of these four men of 40 years and older who are looking for a reason to feel alive, to forge a friendship, but the bases are not strong enough and this will affect the weakest, this is certainly a story of a support group which uses alcohol as fuel so that everything can work, but at the same time that alcohol can serve to set fire to everything they have done in their lives.
A pesar de que está historia está representada en cuatro personajes, no existe ninguna duda que "Martin" interpretado por Mads Mikkelsen, es el verdadero protagonista de esta historia, el representa a esas personas que no saben que puede motivarlos en vida, es un hombre de mediana edad deprimido, que no encuentra un motivo que le haga sentir vivo, pareciera que no tiene conexión con nadie y eso afecta su vida familiar y profesional, Mikkelsen muestra una gran evolución del personaje, deprimido y después embriagado de una falsa felicidad, su trabajo es excelente y creo que debió ser nominado a mejor actor en los grandes premios del cine; los demás personajes también muestran lo que puede afectar a un persona padecer lo que es conocido como una crisis de mediana edad, todos tienen vidas diferentes que los une el hecho de no ser felices, pero la búsqueda de ese motivo al final los lleva a un lugar que no es para nada sano.
Although this story is represented in four characters, there is no doubt that "Martin" played by Mads Mikkelsen, is the true protagonist of this story, he represents those people who do not know what can motivate them in life, he is a depressed middle-aged man, who does not find a reason that makes him feel alive, it seems that he has no connection with anyone and that affects his family and professional life, Mikkelsen shows a great evolution of the character, depressed and then intoxicated with a false happiness, his work is excellent and I think he should have been nominated for best actor in the major film awards; the other characters also show what can affect a person suffering from what is known as a midlife crisis, they all have different lives that unite them the fact of not being happy, but the search for that reason in the end leads them to a place that is not healthy at all.
Este film podemos dividirlo en dos actos o en dos puntos de vista, el primero es visto desde la visión de cuatro hombres embriagados, todo es sobre sus actos y de cómo ven sus mundos bajo la influencia del alcohol, cosas extraordinarias y divertidas que al final no sabemos si en realidad sucedieron de esa forma o no, el segundo acto pienso que es desde el punto de vista de cómo los ve el mundo y que les hace saber cuáles son sus actos, una triste realidad la cual es el tratar con personas embriagadas y sentir esa decepción y rabia y más cuando son adultos; muchos hablan que este film es una comedia y no la Vi de esa forma aunque me hizo sonreír por recordar muchos momentos de mi vida, disfrutar, embriagarme y llegar a mi hogar para después al despertarme decir "Como llegué aquí" pero son como pienso, etapas que debemos superar y no quedarnos estancados para no volverlas un hábito, uno muy malo, es por esto que me gustó esta película que no trata de glorificar la bebida ni mucho menos decir que para pasarla bien es necesario estar borracho, al contrario, muestra como personas pueden creer tener una vida estable y sufrir buscando como cambiar y hasta pueden caer en vicioso sin necesidad de tener alguien al lado, al final son excusas para mantenerse dentro del vicio sin querer conseguir una salida. Another Round es un gran film, una real historia y espero que puedan tener la posibilidad de verla, disfrutar una gran actuación y de esta historia de lidiar con la depresión y la soledad, de tener buenos amigos y de encontrar un motivo para vivir.
This film can be divided into two acts or two points of view, the first is seen from the vision of four intoxicated men, everything is about their actions and how they see their worlds under the influence of alcohol, extraordinary and funny things that in the end we do not know if they really happened that way or not, the second act I think is from the point of view of how the world sees them and that makes them know what their actions are, a sad reality which is dealing with intoxicated people and feel that disappointment and anger and more when they are adults; Many people say that this film is a comedy and I didn't see it that way although it made me smile because I remembered many moments of my life, enjoying, getting drunk and arriving home and then waking up and saying "How did I get here" but they are, as I think, stages that we must overcome and not get stuck in order not to turn them into a habit, a very bad one, That's why I liked this movie that doesn't try to glorify drinking or even less to say that to have a good time it's necessary to be drunk, on the contrary, it shows how people can believe they have a stable life and suffer looking for a way to change and even fall into viciousness without having someone next to them, in the end they are excuses to stay in the vice without wanting to get out. **Another Round is a great film, a real story and I hope you can have the chance to see it, enjoy a great performance and this story of dealing with depression and loneliness, having good friends and finding a reason to live.
