Dune conocida como Duna en Hispanoamérica, es una película épica de ciencia ficción, basada en la novela homónima de Frank Herbert. Fue la dirigida por Denis Villanueva, cuenta con las actuaciones de Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin y Stellan Skarsgård. Después de varios retrasos en su estreno, fue recentada en septiembre del 2021 en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Venecia, siendo aclamada por la critica y el publico en general.

Después de verla entendí porque un amigo, me insistió mucho en que la viera, la película es genial, se nota el gran trabajo que hay detrás de ella, tiene actuaciones muy buenas de varias estrellas en ascenso, he visto últimamente el trabajo de Timothée Chalamet y me esta gustando la forma que esta tomando.

Realmente no conozco el libro en que se basa o la antigua adaptación que tuvo, pero después de ver este filme mi interés por este mundo despertó, ya coloque la novela entre mi lista de pendientes y espero leérmela para complementar mejor esta trama. Creo que ya lo he mencionado, estas ficciones con universos extensos, e historias o cronologías propias me encantan, me obsesionan un poco, y esta franquicia es así, lo cual me fascina.

Los aspectos técnicos, detalles y la estética de los mundos, son atrayentes y muy bien logrados, la banda sonora me encante, son sonidos rítmicos que evocan y reflejan muy bien el ambiente y la cultura donde están, lo que ayuda al espectador a sentirse dentro de la historia, en mi caso sentí el calor del desierto solo con verla. Trasmitir una cultura tan rica, desde cero, en tan poco tiempo, es algo complejo, y hacerlo de forma creíble y orgánica, lo es mas. Sin duda, supieron trabajar con eso, sin hacerlo muy tedioso para el publico.

Nuestro héroe tiene un camino que tomar, algo que él no quiere inicialmente y le asusta al ver como todo eso podría terminar, una guerra donde muchos morirán solo por su existencia, no es fácil. Sin embargo, con el tiempo termina aceptando su destino y sellando el futuro de muchos en el proceso. Ser líder nunca es fácil, se deben tomar decisiones que terminan dañando a otros, elecciones que destruyen tu propia integridad lo que es irreversible, pero es necesario si quieres preservar la vida de quienes te importan, esto es lo que tiene que enfrentar y aceptar el protagonista.

Es una historia de cambios y responsabilidades, de la llegada de la madures y de la existencia misma del ser, así como también las expectativas que tienes o que esperan de ti. En un momento de la película podemos apreciar una ruptura entre la madre y el hijo, lo que termina explotando es una frustración mayor, que lleva al protagonista a tomar una gran decisión. No importa con que fin llegas al mundo, realmente tu eres el que elige que hacer con tu vida y eres el responsable de eso, aunque no sea sencillo.

Algo también toca la película es la adaptabilidad que tenemos a las situaciones, el humano es muy listo y sabe como sobrevivir, pues la naturaleza también es así, la vida es presida y nos aferramos ella sin dudar, no importa las pruebas siempre podemos superarlas si realmente lo queremos.

En conclusión, la película es profunda y muy recomendable, trata mensajes variados a la vez que quiere descentrar ideales fantasiosos sobre la justicia y el heroismo.Tal vez para algunos le parezca lenta el inicio pero todo vale la pena, sin duda una de las mejores películas de su año. Espero con ansias la siguiente, aunque igual la historia funciona sin necesidad de una continuación, por los adelantos que podemos ver de su futuro.

After seeing it I understood why a friend, insisted me a lot to see it, the movie is great, you can see the great work behind it, it has very good performances from several rising stars, I have seen lately Timothée Chalamet's work and I am liking the shape it is taking.

I don't really know the book it's based on or the old adaptation it had, but after seeing this film my interest in this world awakened, I've already put the novel on my to-read list and I hope to read it to better complement this plot. I think I have already mentioned it, these fictions with extensive universes, and own stories or chronologies I love them, they obsess me a little, and this franchise is like that, which fascinates me.

The technical aspects, details and aesthetics of the worlds, are attractive and very well achieved, I love the soundtrack, they are rhythmic sounds that evoke and reflect very well the environment and culture where they are, which helps the viewer to feel inside the story, in my case I felt the heat of the desert just watching it. Transmitting such a rich culture, from scratch, in such a short time, is something complex, and doing it in a credible and organic way, is even more so. They certainly knew how to work with that, without making it too tedious for the audience.

Our hero has a path to take, something that he does not want initially and it scares him to see how it could all end, a war where many will die just for his existence, it is not easy. However, over time he ends up accepting his destiny and sealing the future of many in the process. Being a leader is never easy, you must make decisions that end up hurting others, choices that destroy your own integrity which is irreversible, but it is necessary if you want to preserve the lives of those you care about, this is what the protagonist has to face and accept.

It is a story of changes and responsibilities, of the arrival of maturity and of the very existence of the being, as well as the expectations you have or that are expected of you. At one point in the film we can appreciate a rupture between the mother and the son, what ends up exploding is a major frustration, which leads the protagonist to make a big decision. It doesn't matter with what purpose you come into the world, you are really the one who chooses what to do with your life and you are responsible for that, even if it is not easy.

Something also touches the film is the adaptability that we have to the situations, the human being is very smart and knows how to survive, because nature is also like that, life is tough and we cling to it without hesitation, no matter the tests we can always overcome them if we really want it.

In conclusion, the film is deep and highly recommended, it deals with various messages while it wants to decentralize fantasy ideals about justice and heroism, maybe for some it may seem slow at the beginning but everything is worth it, undoubtedly one of the best films of the year. I look forward to the next one, although the story works without the need for a continuation, because of the previews we can see of its future.
