En el año 1982. Andrés Expósito un prometedor policía de Madrid acepta un traslado a un pueblo cerca del mar, para ofrecer a su hija un ambiente mas agradable con su enfermedad. Después de empezar con buenos resultados en el lugar, comienza a investigar la muerte de su antecesor, a pesar de la negativa de sus jefes, tal parece que no fue un accidente sino un asesinato, esto lo llevara a destapar mas de un secreto en el pequeño pueblo.
Seguimos con los proyectos españoles, le estoy agarrando gusto no lo negare( a pesar de que sigo sin distinguir las voces). Además esta película me encanto, sabe mantener el suspenso muy bien y te hace interesarte en conocer un poco mas sobre la historia del país, o al menos eso me paso a mi.
La corrupción es un hecho que por desgracia afecta a todos los países, sin importar su origen. España en ese momento vivía un época complicada, con el posfranquismo, y no es la excepción a los males que el hambre de poder trae. Aquí vemos a un policía honesto que quiere hacer lo correcto, sin importar los problemas que eso le puede traer. Y al final, el proceso de investigación lo termina llevando al desastre, mostrando la dura realidad que sucede a las personas que quieren lograr un cambio positivo, en este tipo de sistemas sin salida.
Nuestro protagonista es complejo, generalmente hace sus acciones guiado por su fuerte moral y principios. Sin embargo no es perfecto, anhela el cariño de padre que se le negó por ser huérfano, y por compensar ese hecho, sumado al recuerdo constante de la situación social y política que lo causo, termina dañando a su propia familia y defraudando a la hija que tanto amaba. El quería mucho a su hija, a pesar de la descuidada relación que tenia con su esposa, pero su propio malestar se sobre pone a sus obligaciones paternas, es decir, no solo es alguien que lucha por la sociedad porque se le dijo que era lo correcto, sino es una persona que fue victima del sistema y por ello quiere combatirlo, aunque tenga que sacrificar lo que ama.
La película critica rudamente la época, la corrupción de las autoridades, la vinculación de estos mismos con actos criminales y su eficiencia para callar lo que no le agrada. El nacionalismo extremo, daña un país y su gente y el pensamiento supremacista no te hace distinto a otros monstruos, creo que los nazis nos demostraron el problema moral que la humanidad enfrenta día a día. Sin embargo, no es la única ideología política y social que posee esos rasgos tan dañinos y destructivos para nosotros mismo, la gran mayoría de países tiene pasados o presentes con este sucio pensamiento, de creer que somos superior a otro simplemente por pertenecer a cierto grupo.
El filme no es alentador todo lo contrario se puede sentir el pesimismo, pues como en vida real, este tipo de crímenes quedan mayormente impunes y este caso no es la excepción. Incluso no solo evidencia la falta justicia sino también retrata como estos actos deplorables son parte del curriculum de muchos candidatos políticos, profesionales exitosos y demás. Dando por desgracia un mensaje triste, donde para avanzar en la vida solo debes servir al sistema, aunque este sea corrupto.
Me gusto la actuación, además la narración me pareció muy bien lograda, alternando entre recuerdos del pasado y la actualidad. Te mantiene en suspenso en cada momento, esperando descubrir que pasara en la historia, para luego darte una falsa idea de felicidad que poco después es devastada, cuando nuestro protagonista pierde todo, eso hace que toda la obra sea mas reflexiva y realista, a pesar de eso logra la manera de no dejarte con un mal sabor en la boca, pues demuestra que la corrupción no es invulnerable aunque si imposible de acabar sin ayuda. Creo que eso hace que el guion sea un gran punto a su favor.
Los planos, los recursos y el material que usan, sin duda te transportan a la época en la que ocurren los hechos, sientes la tensión y el descontento, así como las consecuencias sociales propias del momento histórico. Me encanto el paralelismo que realza entre los nazis y los franquistas, pues en resumen, no hay gran diferencia entre uno y el otro.
El giro en la trama, me gusto, fue sutil y requería que el espectador estuviera bien atento. Sin embargo, tiene sentido la discreción al ser revelado, pues la gente tiende a omitir sus malas acciones para no quedar mal ante desconocidos. En el caso del final, no me sorprendió pero tampoco me molesto, creo que esto le da algo de felicidad a todo el asusto.
En fin, recomiendo la película con total seguridad, no es fantasiosa es realista y retrata la dura época del un país, con muy buenos recursos y una dura critica a su entorno, logra sorprender a mas de uno.

He loved his daughter very much, despite the neglected relationship he had with his wife, but his own discomfort overrides his paternal obligations, that is, he is not only someone who fights for society because he was told it was the right thing to do, but he is a person who was a victim of the system and therefore wants to fight it, even if he has to sacrifice what he loves.
The film harshly criticizes the times, the corruption of the authorities, the linking of these same authorities with criminal acts and their efficiency to silence what they do not like. Extreme nationalism, damages a country and its people and supremacist thinking does not make you different from other monsters, I think the Nazis showed us the moral problem that humanity faces day by day. However, it is not the only political and social ideology that possesses such harmful and destructive traits for ourselves, the vast majority of countries have past or present with this dirty thinking, of believing that we are superior to another simply because we belong to a certain group.
The film is not encouraging, on the contrary, you can feel the pessimism, because as in real life, these types of crimes go mostly unpunished and this case is no exception. It not only evidences the lack of justice but also portrays how these deplorable acts are part of the curriculum of many political candidates, successful professionals and others. Unfortunately it gives a sad message, where in order to advance in life you only have to serve the system, even if it is corrupt.
I liked the acting, also the narration seemed to me very well done, alternating between memories of the past and the present. It keeps you in suspense at every moment, waiting to find out what will happen in the story, then give you a false idea of happiness that soon after is devastated, when our protagonist loses everything, that makes the whole work more reflective and realistic, despite that manages to not leave you with a bad taste in the mouth, because it shows that corruption is not invulnerable but impossible to end without help. I think that makes the script a big plus.
The shots, the resources and the material used, undoubtedly transport you to the time in which the events occur, you feel the tension and discontent, as well as the social consequences of the historical moment. I loved the parallelism between the Nazis and the Francoists, because in short, there is no great difference between one and the other.
The plot twist, I liked, was subtle and required the viewer to be very attentive. However, it makes sense the discretion in being revealed, as people tend to omit their bad deeds so as not to look bad in front of strangers. In the case of the ending, it didn't surprise me but it didn't bother me either, I think this gives some happiness to the whole scare.
In short, I recommend the film with total security, it is not fantasy, it is realistic and portrays the hard times of a country, with very good resources and a harsh criticism of its environment, it manages to surprise more than one.
