Me encanta esta iniciativa realizada por @andr3apat1no, es muy interesantes, nos hacen escribir sobre esas cosas que no nos llego a gustar de una película y que con su portada nos cautiva pero cuando las llegas a ver ¡PUM! no es lo que esperábamos y hasta PEOR que la terminas quitando.

Sobre esta película tenía muchas expectativas debido a su productor (Steven Spielberg) y, sobre todo, por el actor principal (Tom Cruise). Debo reconocer que el título también me generaba altas expectativas.
Desde que empezó me pareció repetida la historia del personaje sobresaliente en el trabajo, pero con problemas en casa puesto que Ray Ferrier (Tom Cruise) era divorciado y no llevaba una buena relación con Mary Ann, su exesposa, y sus dos hijos Robbie y Rachel. Posteriormente, cuando aparecen los alienígenas, fue muy tosca... Sin mucho sentido… la forma en cómo introdujeron lo del Solenoide, y si a ello le sumamos que, durante el ataque, Ray esquivaba los rayos de manera magistral de camino a casa y que, extrañamente, los rayos desintegraban sólo los cuerpos de las personas mas no su indumentaria; mis altas expectativas ya se habían esfumado.
Una vez que escaparon Ray, Robbie y Rachel, y ¡de qué forma!, se instalan en casa de Mary Ann y por precaución lo hacen en el sótano, pero a medianoche empiezan los ataques nuevamente y optan por bajar al subsótano (¿las casas en EE.UU. tienen subsótano?). A la mañana, nuevamente deciden partir en su auto que, por esas cosas de la vida, no sufrió ningún daño durante el ataque de la madrugada, llegan a un pueblo donde había mucha gente de a pie (a nadie más se le ocurrió lo del solenoide) y en una pelea pierden el auto; por ello es que se unen a la caminata para llegar al barco. Una vez en el barco, vuelve el ataque alienígena pero los tres logran huir, una vez más, y se refugian en casa de un extraño personaje.
El ataque extraterrestre vuelve y Ray ataca a uno de ellos mientras Rachel huye; al salir a buscar a su hija Ray ve que ella es tomada por los invasores y él decide atacarlos con granadas, pero, de igual forma, también es capturado y se encuentra en unas jaulas junto con otras personas. Ray es tomado para ser la próxima víctima, pero hacen una cadena humana entre todos y logran retenerlo no sin antes, astutamente, dejar unas granadas dentro de la nave. y logran huir.
Al día siguiente, camino a Boston, notan que las plantas de sangre estaban secándose y una de las naves se había caído sola. Aparece otra nave extraterrestre pero sólo Ray (siempre él) logra observar que los pájaros se posan en ella y deduce que habían perdido su campo de protección y se lo comunica al ejército, a lo que empieza la ofensiva dando resultados esta vez. De la nave sale un extraterrestre y muere delante de ellos.
Al final, los héroes que logran salvar al planeta tierra son los virus y bacterias. En fin.🤷♀
I had high expectations for this movie because of its producer (Steven Spielberg) and, above all, because of the main actor (Tom Cruise). I must admit that the title also generated high expectations for me.
From the beginning I found the story of the character excelling at work, but with problems at home since Ray Ferrier (Tom Cruise) was divorced and did not have a good relationship with Mary Ann, his ex-wife, and their two children Robbie and Rachel. Later, when the aliens show up, it was very clunky.... Without much sense... the way they introduced the Solenoid, and if we add to this that, during the attack, Ray dodged the rays masterfully on his way home and that, strangely, the rays disintegrated only people's bodies but not their clothes; my high expectations had already vanished.
Once Ray, Robbie and Rachel had escaped, and in what a way, they settled in Mary Ann's house and as a precaution they did it in the basement, but at midnight the attacks started again and they decided to go down to the sub-basement (do houses in the USA have sub-basements?). In the morning, they again decide to leave in their car, which, by those things of life, did not suffer any damage during the early morning attack, they arrive at a town where there were many people on foot (nobody else thought of the solenoid) and in a fight they lose the car; that is why they join the walk to get to the ship. Once on the ship, the alien attack returns but the three manage to flee, once again, and take refuge in the house of a strange character.
The alien attack returns and Ray attacks one of them while Rachel flees; when leaving to look for his daughter Ray sees that she is taken by the invaders and he decides to attack them with grenades, but, in the same way, he is also captured and finds himself in some cages along with other people. Ray is taken to be the next victim, but they make a human chain between all of them and manage to hold him but not before, cunningly, leaving some grenades inside the ship. and manage to flee.
The next day, on the way to Boston, they notice that the blood plants were drying up and one of the ships had fallen alone. Another alien ship appears but only Ray (always him) manages to observe that the birds land on it and deduces that they had lost their field of protection and communicates it to the army, which begins the offensive giving results this time. An alien comes out of the ship and dies in front of them.

Después del éxito en taquilla de Terminator 2, esperaba con ansias esta 3era presentación, a pesar que ya se evidenciaba que los años no habían pasado en vano para Arnold Schwarzenegger.
De primera impresión me pareció que el actor no encajaba para representar a John Connor. Independientemente que al inicio se mostraba desorientado y timorato... considero que su rostro no encajaría con el de quien sería el jefe máximo de la resistencia. El envío del T-850 (Arnold) fue casi copia fiel de la 2da película, pero esas escenas “graciosas” estuvieron por demás.
(la imagen del T-850 con lentes de estrella parecía más de una parodia) Posteriormente hace su aparición John en una clínica veterinariamente que, por casualidades de la vida, es de la Dra. Katherine Brewster (Sí, su futura esposa); éste ingresa para robar algunos medicamentos, pero es reducido fácilmente por Katherine. Luego hace su aparición la T-X que estaba a punto de matar a la doctora, pero es salvada por el T-850. Empiezan las peleas y las persecuciones, ahí todo bien hasta que el T-850 se estrella contra un camión de bomberos y se queda pegado a la luna (sí, después de reventar de todo... un parabrisas lo detiene) Las peleas continúan, que era de esperarse, pero a continuación aparecen distorsiones de tiempo como el hecho de que Skynet sigue activo (En Terminator 2 es destruido). La trama continúa con un virus que se esta apoderando de todo y que la única solución es liberar a Skynet (Skynet creo el supervirus informático que se apodera de todo, pero aun así necesita que lo activen apretando una tecla en la base militar... ¿qué cosas, no?) Nuevamente vienes las peleas y el T-X inserta un virus al T-850 para que mate a John.
En una base, la pareja está a punto de huir y llega el T-850 alterado; éste pretende matar a John pero luego de aventarlo unas veces. John le dice unas palabras y el terminator se resetea para eliminar el virus del T-X (entiendo que se resetea a medias porque su primera alteración fue hecha en el futuro por Katherine luego de que el terminator matara a John) La pareja intentar llegar al punto donde se encuentra el servidor de Skynet y nuevamente hace su aparición la T-X que, otra vez, esta a punto de matarlos y.. aparece el T-850 en un helicóptero y cae encima de la Terminator dejándola muy herida (sí, muy herida, aunque parezca increíble), el T-850 le pone una batería en la boca y todo explota. John y Katherine llegan a la cámara oculta, pero se dan con la sorpresa de que no esta el servidor de Skynet sino que era un refugio. O sea, los misiles llegan a explotar en todo el mundo.
Es cierto que es una película de ficción, pero igual considero que debe tener cierta continuidad y coherencia (el T-1000 se veía más fuerte e inteligente que la T-X). Por ello, quedé muy decepcionada de esta película. Creo que la 2da presentación le dejó la valla muy alta.
After the box office success of Terminator 2, I was looking forward to this third presentation, even though it was already evident that the years had not passed in vain for Arnold Schwarzenegger.
At first glance, it seemed to me that the actor did not fit to play John Connor. Regardless of the fact that at the beginning he seemed disoriented and timorous... I considered that his face would not fit the face of the one who would be the ultimate chief of the resistance. The delivery of the T-850 (Arnold) was almost a carbon copy of the 2nd movie, but those "funny" scenes were over the top.
(the image of the T-850 with star glasses seemed more of a parody) Later John makes his appearance in a veterinary clinic that, by coincidence of life, belongs to Dr. Katherine Brewster (Yes, his future wife); he enters to steal some drugs, but is easily reduced by Katherine. Then the T-X appears and is about to kill the doctor, but is saved by the T-850. The fights and chases begin, then everything is fine until the T-850 crashes into a fire truck and gets stuck to the moon (yes, after blowing up everything... a windshield stops it) The fights continue, which is to be expected, but then time distortions appear such as the fact that Skynet is still active (In Terminator 2 it is destroyed). The plot continues with a virus that is taking over everything and the only solution is to free Skynet (Skynet created the computer supervirus that takes over everything, but still needs to be activated by pressing a key in the military base... what a thing, right? What a thing, right?) Again comes the fights and the T-X inserts a virus into the T-850 to kill John.
In a base, the couple is about to flee and the altered T-850 arrives; he pretends to kill John but after throwing him a few times. John says a few words to it and the terminator resets itself to eliminate the T-X virus (I understand that it resets itself halfway because its first alteration was made in the future by Katherine after the terminator killed John). . the T-850 appears in a helicopter and falls on top of the Terminator leaving her very wounded (yes, very wounded, although it seems incredible), the T-850 puts a battery in her mouth and everything explodes. John and Katherine arrive at the hidden chamber, but they are surprised to find that it is not Skynet's server but a shelter. In other words, the missiles explode all over the world.
It is true that it is a fictional movie, but I still consider that it should have some continuity and coherence (the T-1000 looked stronger and smarter than the T-X). Therefore, I was very disappointed in this movie. I think the 2nd presentation set the bar too high.

Esta 3era saga no estuvo a la altura de sus predecesoras. Una historia muy tibia, plana, sin sorpresas durante la trama (tal ves podría decir que la única sorpresa fue la aparición de los Yetis). Considero que se le dio mucho protagonismo, en temas de acción, a Evelyn porque se suponía que ella era la del conocimiento y las buenas ideas, y Rick el de la acción; me pareció increíble que en la escena que salta de la carreta en movimiento cae de rodillas y a la siguiente escena esta caminando como si nada.
Hubieron situaciones muy forzadas, muy típicas como cuando Alex ingresa a la tumba, junto con el profesor, y justo pisa un peldaño que abre un pasadizo secreto (¿Qué suerte, no?) O coma la escena donde Rick le clava al emperador la daga rota y Alex aparece por detrás para clavarle la otra mitad de la daga y justo se lo clava en el punto exacto donde se une con su otra parte, y así de sencillo logran matar al poderoso emperador que iba a someter a todo el mundo.
Por cierto, en esta parte no entiendo como Alex se recupera tan rápido luego de recibir un manotazo de una bestia mucho más grande que un oso gris. Otra parte muy decepcionante fue el ejercito resucitado del emperador, que sinceramente no entiendo cómo iba a gobernar el mundo con unos muñecos de barro que al primer balazo se desarmaba. Y la batalla, si es que cabe llamarla batalla, que tuvo contra los otros resucitados. fue una mala broma.
Tuvo para ser una buena secuela considerando que reaparecía Brendan Fraser y acompañaba Jet Li. Había una buena historia, pero creo que fue mal narrada en la película (siento que corrieron y omitieron profundizar en algunas partes para darle ese toque a la historia).
This 3rd saga was not up to the level of its predecessors A very lukewarm story, flat, without surprises during the plot (maybe I could say that the only surprise was the appearance of the Yetis). I consider that Evelyn was given a lot of prominence, in terms of action, because she was supposed to be the one with knowledge and good ideas, and Rick the one with the action; I found it incredible that in the scene where she jumps from the moving wagon she falls to her knees and in the next scene she is walking as if nothing happened.
There were very forced situations, very typical as when Alex enters the tomb, along with the professor, and just steps on a step that opens a secret passage (What luck, no?) Or eat the scene where Rick stabs the emperor with the broken dagger and Alex appears from behind to stab him with the other half of the dagger and just stabs him in the exact point where it joins with his other part, and just like that they manage to kill the powerful emperor who was going to subdue the whole world.
By the way, in this part I don't understand how Alex recovers so fast after receiving a punch from a beast much bigger than a grizzly bear. Another very disappointing part was the resurrected army of the emperor, which I honestly don't understand how he was going to rule the world with some clay dolls that at the first bullet fell apart. And the battle, if it can be called a battle, that he had against the other resurrected ones, was a bad joke.
It had to be a good sequel considering that Brendan Fraser reappeared and Jet Li accompanied. There was a good story, but I think it was poorly told in the movie (I feel like they ran and omitted to go deeper in some parts to give that touch to the story).
