I am a faithful believer that criminal movies and series drive members of society to blindly follow this path; believing that being a thief or a drug dealer is the best thing in the world, and even longing to be like the characters shown on the screen (whether fictional or based on real characters). However, I can't leave aside the incredible way of cinematographically presenting a work, all the acting and artistic representation involved in the creation of masterpieces of cinema and television that I really adore, such as the case of The Godfather or Breaking Bad, which are jewels that are already a milestone in their own right. That said, I greet you again dear community and my niche par excellence, it has been a long absence but I didn't want to show up here again without bringing something worthwhile, and the series I bring you next is really worth it.
Soy una fiel creyente de que las películas y series de criminales impulsan a miembros de la sociedad a seguir este camino ciegamente; creer que ser un ladrón o un narcotraficante es lo mejor del mundo, e incluso añoran ser como los personajes mostrados en la pantalla (sean de ficción o basados en personajes verdaderos). Sin embargo, no puedo dejar de lado la increíble manera de presentar cinematográficamente una obra, toda la representación actoral y artística involucrada en la creación de obras maestras del cine y la televisión que realmente adoro, tal es el caso de El Padrino ó Breaking Bad, que son joyas que ya son un hito propiamente dicho. Dicho esto, los saludo nuevamente querida comunidad y mi nicho por excelencia, ha sido una larga ausencia pero no quería volver a presentarme por aquí sin traer algo que mereciera la pena, y la serie que les traigo a continuación de verdad que lo vale.
Sneaky Pete is an Amazon Prime series in which the main character: Marius Josipovich, wanting to escape from a ruthless enemy, ends up in the safest place he could resort to prison. During his 3-year stay, he shares a cell with another rather annoying criminal named Pete, who tells him about his childhood with his grandparents and cousins on a farm, giving him quite precise details about them, whom he hasn't seen for more than 20 years. And just as Marius is released from prison after serving his sentence, he learns that his enemy is waiting for him to pay him some money he owes him and gives him a deadline or he will start cutting off the fingers of his brother, whom he has been holding hostage and working for him since Marius entered prison. Marius creates a plan and approaches a house, a beautiful property with lots of lands, and knocks on the door and two old men appear at the door and introduce themselves by the name of Pete.

Sneaky Pete is a series that portrays the world of con artists and swindlers, it shows from the simplest to the most elaborate scams and I came to feel a mixture of Focus mixed with Oceans Eleven; it consists of 10 chapters full of tension created by a mastermind who we know for many series and movies but who excels in one that I already named above; the great Bryan Cranston, who also gives life to Vince, the enemy of Marius.

The characters in this series are played by some incredible actors, each one better than the other and definitely an excellent cast, and although there are excellent performances, I will emphasize three in specific:

Marius Josipovich / Pete Murphy: Played by Giovanni Ribisi a face you will surely be quite familiar with. This is a veteran actor, and we have seen him play many supporting roles in countless movies and TV shows like in Avatar, or as Frank Buffay in Friends, the brother to whom Phoebe did the great favor of lending her womb to carry the babies, this series undoubtedly puts him in an excellent place and places him among the best.
Marius Josipovich / Pete Murphy: Interpretado por Giovanni Ribisi una caraque seguro les resultará bastante familiar. Este esun actor veterano, y lo hemos visto hacer muchos papeles secundarios en innumerables peliculas y shows de televisión como en Avatar, o como Frank Buffay en Friends, elhermano alque Phoebe le hizo el gran favor de prestar su vientre para llevar a los bebés, est aserie, sin lugar a dudas lo pone en un excelente lugar y lo sitúa junto a los mejores.
Audrey Bernhardt: She's grandmother Audrey, a matron who holds the reins of a family that from afar seems beautiful until secrets begin to emerge, taking care of her three grandchildren (Pete's cousins) after one of her daughters died in a car accident. A powerfully created character, he runs a bail bonds business that is the centerpiece of the season and the place Pete wants to rob. Undoubtedly one of the best characters of the show played by veteran Margo Martindale.
Audrey Bernhardt: Es la abuela Audrey, una matrona que lleva las riendas de una familia que desde lejos parece hermosa hasta que empiezan a aparecer los secretos, se hizo cargo de sus tres nietos (los primos de Pete) luego de que una de sus hijas muriera en un accidente automovilistico. Un personaje creado con fuerza, dirige un negocio de fianzas que es el eje central de la temporada y el sitio que Pete quiere robar. Sin lugar a dudas uno de los mejores personajes del show interpretada por la veterana Margo Martindale.
Vince: And a con show is nothing without a villain eviler than the rest of the criminals, and no one better to bring a ruthless gangster to life than Bryan Cranston himself, a mastermind you'll love to hate; he's the one who makes Marius hang on by a thread to get all the money he's owed and a non-existent enemy to the rest of Cousin Pete's family.
Vince: Y una serie de estafadores no es nada sin un villano más malvado que el resto de los criminales, y nadie mejor para darle vida a un gangster despiadado que al mismísimo Bryan Cranston, un cerebro genial a quien amarás odiar; es quienpone a pender de un hilo a Marius para que consiga todo el dinero que le debe y un enemigo inexistente para el resto de la familia del primo Pete.
As I said before, to watch a movie or TV show about criminals, gangsters, con men, and/or murderers, we must keep in mind that sooner or later they may fall. Marius is a ruthless con man who doesn't mind taking anyone down with him. One of the tactics preferred by con men is to go to the weakest people: the elderly, what Pete did not count on was to get a strong family that knew how to deal with all the existing criminals (they lent money to criminals to pay their bails) and the strongest characters turned out to be the grandparents. However, and without spoilers, the series shows us which are the most common scams they resort to and how we could fall, we must be alert to any scam attempt.
Como ya lo dije antes, para ver una película o un show de televisión de criminales, gangsters, estafadores y/o asesinos, debemos tener en cuenta que tarde o temprano pueden caer. Marius es un despiadado estafador que no le importa llevarse por delante a quien sea. Una de las tácticas preferida por los estafadores es ir a las personas más débiles: los ancianos, con lo que Pete no contaba era conseguirse con una familia fuerte y que sabía lidiar con todos los criminales existentes (le prestaban dinero a criminales para pagar sus fianzas) y los personajes más fuertes resultaron ser los abuelos. Sin embargo, y sin ánimos de hacer spoilers, la serie nos enseña cuales son las estafas más comunes a la que recurren y como podríamos caer, hay que estar atentos ante cualquier intento de timo.
The series only has three seasons, I wanted to review the first one because we know that many times series start to decay with time and don't end up being glorious, this first season definitely had a glorious ending and I'm looking forward to seeing the next one, but I think that if the rest of the seasons start to decay, you could watch only the first one and be satisfied. I've already started watching the second season and I'm liking it quite a bit but I'll wait to watch all the seasons to do a more complete review and tell you if it's worth continuing or just leave it there. there are many other things I'd love to say, but I might be getting ahead of myself on things that may happen in the next chapters. I hope at some point you will be able to see it and I hope I will never go again without writing a review because this fills me with life.
La serie solo cuentacon tres temporadas, quise hacerla reseña de laprimera porque sabemos que muchas veces las series empiezana decaer con el tiempoy no terminan siendo gloriosas, esta primera temporada en definitiva tuvo un final glorioso y con ganas de ver el siguiente, pero creo que si el resto de las temporadas empezara a decar, podrían ver solo la primera quedando satisfechos. Ya empecé a ver la segunda temporada y me está gustando bastante pero esperaré a ver todas las temporadas para hacer una reseña más completa y decirles si vale la pena continuar o solo dejarla hasta allí. hay muchas otras cosas que me encantaría decir, pero podría estar adelantadome a cosas que pueden pasar en los siguientes capitulos. Espero que algún momento puedan verla y yo espero no volver a pasar antotiempo sin escribir una reseña, porque esto me llena de vida.
